bruno we had the prob where LO would wake every 45mins. I followed something I read by the baby whisperer. Basically i worked out what time she would wake up normally, and 5 minutes prior to that rouse her enough not to completely wake her, but enough to reset her sleep clock. She would then sleep another 45mins. Now I don't have to wake her at all - she sleeps 1hr 1/2 - 2hrs depending on how tired she is.

it takes a little effort and a couple of weeks - a few times I found i woker her too much or not quite enough, but the results have pleased us. Good luck x

Oh, had a nice time with the NCT ladies. Topic of weaning came up, one is starting at 19 weeks, one at 5 months, and the others soon. Extended breastfeeding came up, and they were discussing how they can't believe some people breastfeed past one year. Hope they won't mind if I need to feed a two year old Toby at a coffee morning!

They are also very routine and CIO type Mothers. I'm glad I've got my other Mummy friend, with her late weaning, breastfeeding, baby wearing and no routine thing to talk to!

I used to work in a lab and had to take samples from beer tanks using spinal needles. After handling the needles, there is no way I'd let them stick one of them in my back for an epidural :o
Here I go again on my own....

I'm getting to the end of my tether with these periods, I shouldn't even be having one, I had a full on one last week and this one is SO heavy, I'm in agony, I've never really had stomach cramps with periods before but these are terrible, I'm having to take ibuprofen and paracetamol to take the edge off.

You know last Xmas I thought I was dying because I started bleeding and it was SO heavy that I'd put a tampon in, and 1hour later It was coming through onto my knickers, I went through a 48box of super tampons in a day!! I had to get my dad to take me to asda at 2am in the morning (Oh and DD were away) as I couldn't get anywhere else. It was horrific, and these seem to be heading that way.

Does anyone else get achy thighs with periods? I've always had it, my mum gets it too but on the backs of her legs. Odd I say!

Bruno: has she tried putting him down in the morning or earlier/later?
I remember Chris went from having the one long afternoon nap to a short morning and short afternoon one around Elijah's age
