Isn't there something about plastic and microwave?

I never heated EBM, and don't have a microwave, so not sure! We did use them at work, despite the Manager telling parents we didn't.

    Morning all :)

well, after sleeping through from 8 1/2 weeks (don't shoot me!) we were up at 10, 11, 1.30, 3 5.30 and up for good at 6.10.

Surely this is something to do with imminent weaning?!

    Please?!

Do you keep trying Fergie to see if he is interested chick?
Sounds more like teeth than hunger IMHO though.
Be careful what you say, Sami has a thing about 'Jazzy Cardi's':rotfl:

MFD don't hate me but we've got the Hungry Caterpillar butterfly, its fab, Ello absolutely loves it and demanded that Daddy bought it for her (for a bargainous £6.80 in the local insect/zoo place) And we used to have 2 Boo's I am sure there will still be one lurking in the bottom of the toybox.

Would you still object to 2nd hand if the fairies brought it? I don't really fancy sorting out the toybox if I have no reason to!

We had the best night ever last night Ello went to bed at 8 slept til 2.30 I stuck the dummy back in and she slept til 6.30 !!! Yay! only thing is that I don't know whether it was the liberal application of baby drugs (teething powder and anbesol) that did it.

And in other news we took the stabilisers (or pedal steps as they are known in this house) off Millie's bike yesterday and she can ride it :T

    Yay for bike riding!!
    I will be buying a butterfly ;)
Will send you a PM :A

And Sami - 'funky' cardi's sounds like some sad 70's throwback ;):D

MFD - have you seen this - Boo on ebay - BNWT!

ETA - or boo as a bee or boo as a bat - these are very cute - not new but have only been on display, not played with

I love you lot and your searching for Boo!!! I have got my eye on all of those ;) :A

I am trying to catch up quickly. It's SILs 40th today so we have been out all day helping with food and decorating the hall for her party tonight. God knows what Benjamin is going to be like...he normally demands to go to bed at 7 or 7.30pm. We will be taking the buggy and hopefully he will sleep through the music  either that or be too interested in everyone there to be grumpy!! Fingers crossed!

It's something to do with the BPA in bottles being released when heated, I think (don't quote me on it tho!)

I put EBM in a bowl of hot water or leave it out the fridge for half an hour if I've got time/remember.

I've made an appointment to see GP on Tuesday. I asked the receptionist if I could see the most pro-breastfeeding Doctor, so hopefully she'll help. Past few days the Nipple Vasospasm I have has been getting worse. I spoke to a La Leche League lady, who said to ask for a spray on prescription, or an ointment or tablet if the spray isn't suitable. I've never heard of it, and I don't think it is that common a problem, so chances are GP won't either. Any advice for how to ask for it?
As others have said, just ask for what she recommended, the Dr should be able to look it up in the book if they have any concerns.

The midwife on the GMTV debate the other day said that the boiled water needs to be 70 degrees to kill any bacteria in the formula. Thinking about it I suppose that's more for the newborns  That was one of the things they said mums weren't told in hospital.
The DoH have a booklet on bottle feeding that gets given out antenatally with the recommendations on how to make up formula. In my role at work I'm there to help with 'infant feeding' it covers breast and bottle...

How much do helium balloons cost? Rhys is obsessed with them!
Think you can pick them up for a couple of quid from Clintons... There's an actual balloon shop down the road from my house... They did our wedding balloons... Cost us £200 and the hotel lost them after the reception... I recon the staff were inhaling the helium after all the guests had gone :rotfl:

MFD, Check out early learning centre for the butterfly... I won't tell you our caterpillar the same as yours cost £9

Will tell you where the Argos Bargain shop is in a min... Got to rescue Caitlyn from the swing and get Aimee's dinner out the microwave... Slack? Me? ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Oh, glad to see other rebelling against the guidelines!!
I wasn't sure about the microwave either, think I'll stick to a jug of water, it gives me time to change his bum while we wait for it to heat up!
Elle - I'd send him, especially as you'll have the support of your parents - it's a very good amount of money, but it depends if you OH could leave you both ;)
Feelie - congrats to your OH :T
