Free Cards - Vista Print. A WARNING

Options
Last December I bought address labels from VistaPrint
They were supposedly free but I had to pay £2.35 postage with my credit card. fair enough
I thought that was the end of it.
I know its silly of me but I havent been checking my credit cards too well since but I just realized that since my purchase I have been charged £9.95 each month by VISTAPRINT REWARDS U. VISTAPRINT-UK.

I phoned the company and they suggested I must have clicked on one of their pop ups. An excuse I find to be very dubious, especially since I have a popup blocker on my browser.

On the phone they said they would cancel it and send me a refund so its early days to know the full outcome
They said the refund would take three weeks which I said was unacceptable
My visa company Tescos said that since they agreed to a refund I must wait 7 to 10 days before they can take any action
OK fair enough, I will wait

Well in all fairness I'm not knocking Vistaprint for their products. I've had two lots of cards and address labels only for cost of postage and I've been very satisfied.

I do feel I should warn others to be careful when ordering through their site to be alert to what they are signing up for. Be careful of those popups

They've had nearly 40 quid off me and no sign of anything for it.

I will keep everyone posted through this site as to the outcome.

Any advice if things do go pearshaped would be much appreciated

I haven't clicked-through anything and I did notice the rewards subscription the other day. I have bought a stamp and three lots of postcards from them recently so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

What I will say is that the quality of their products is excellent and I am really happy with the results and service so far.

I almost got caught by this as well!

They entice you with a freebie membership of the rewards scheme as you are a loyal customer - the small print mentions fee's later on!

In all fairness, they did email me before they started taking any money and I cancelled my membership to the rewards scheme before they nicked my money.

Me too. I emailed them and said I hadn't clicked any pop-ups (blocked). I think it might be a 'random' scam they are doing.
So yes, if you've ordered off them in the past check your card statements carefully.

This happened to me too. I sent them an email saying if they took any money from my account I would take legal action immediately. It done the trick.

Like I said, I called my credit card company after calling vistaprint. They said to wait and see what vistaprint do before they take any action

I saw this too (it was a click link) - when they give you a free trial but then tell you it will be 9.95 a month after the trial but the rewards are things that you can find pretty much get free anywhere else on the web. I cancelled immediatley and kept the cancellation (edit) confirmation email just in case they try and bill me for it.

I nearly got hit for it too but cancelled before the charges set in. Now I am 99% sure that I read all the small print when I ordered my business cards and labels so it would have had to be pretty well hidden... ah well I cancelled so not applicable really I guess :)

They enticed me with a free £10 voucher for my next order.
Didn't bother reading the small print. Then when they emailed me with the voucher I realized - cancelled it straight away and because of that the £10 voucher wasn't accepted! Not fair really, I would have though my account would have stayed active for the 30 days of the trial?
