I'm very interested to know what happens regarding the upcoming court cases as me and my mum are with phoneboxdirect and coolnewmobile respectively. I have received all my cashback cheques so far (4/5 and 5th one in the pipeline). I'm a bit worried though because I have a new contract with PBD and will be claiming cashback from them soon...I guess if they go into liquidation then I will be entitled to nothing with regards to future cashback?

Also, for those of you wanting to calculate your first bill that you need to send...check out this site

    http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

in the first line of boxes enter your connection date then in the bottom boxes enter '120 days' and it will calculate it all for you so you that you need to send off the bill AFTER the date given (ie. 120 days).

alnsv1000s - where did you get the information from, with regards to the value of CNM and PBD? Is it from companies house? I'm very surprised that one of the companies is only worth a few thousand pounds....

I have an account with a credit agency. I can get full company history and accounts and a credit risk. What i dont understand is do these companies account for future cashbacks as a debt in there accounts. I dont think mobile media will liquidate. Hopefully they will change their way of doing business.

They rely on people messing up their claims. If there are not enough of these, then they have to resort to other measurers. ;)

Its just a shame that we can't find a way of advertising the fact that these forum threads exist to the, probably, 100's of people who have probably been fobbed off by this lot. Any thoughts??

The only way would be to get it on one of the consumer programs on tv. It would make good viewing if they filmed a customer putting his claim and bill into an envelope and then receiving the "missing page" letter. Priceless

I have submitted my claim through moneyclaim online. Just have to wait and hope I have not thrown another £50 away.

I've just started my claim and am surprised I can't attach any documents and there isn't much space for describing what has happened.

I can only really then say that I did send the whole bill and they say I didn't. Do you have any thoughts.

You are rather limited. I just put my side of the story (the truth) as much as I could in the space provided.

Don't forget if it is contested it goes to court and then you would get the opportunity to produce documents, witnesses ect. My only witness is my wife, who was present when I put the complete bill in the envelope. It will be up to CNM if they want to get their day in court and up to the judge to believe or disbelieve our account. I also emphasized I received an email confirming they had received my claim and it did not mention that a page was missing then. In fact it was a week later when I received the "missing page" letter. If CNM were really switched on they would say in the first email that a page is missing. That would give them a little more credibility IMO.

They don't do it all in one email because it would deprive them of one of their opportunities to string out the process.

What's the advantage for them to string out the process ? What is the point of sending an email confirming delivery and not stating a page was missing ?

If I was a judge I would want to know why it takes a week after the email, before they allege that a page is missing. As previously stated it lessens their credibility.
