Like most dealers (except those who were sharks to begin with) that may have been true six months ago but you're out of date. Now it's also a question of copy, copy copy...0

Let's hope tanny that you do get your 1st cash back money of new contract and let's also hope that you do not regret using these sister dodgy companies again. I agree with someone who said earlier in this forum that they will not even recommend CNM or phonebox to their enemies.
they def pay up. i have recently just completed my first cashback and am waiting for the money now. the only difference is that its now using a company called phonebox direct.0 -
I definately would not use cnm on phonbox ever again or their new site simply3g is it ? Incidently is there any cashback sites that are paying out and playing to fair rules ? I've heard Dialaphone is good ?0

I'm sorry if this question has already been answered.
I took delivery of a phone from Cool New Mobile on 6 June 07. The deal was for 12 months at £35 per month on Vodafone, repayable by cashback in full by 5 equal payments. The T and Cs sent to me at that time made no mention of sending the despatch note. However their current website says you should send the despatch note with the first claim. Should I send it with the first claim or would doing so actually invalidate my claim?
I'm answering my own question here but thought it might help others. I emailed CNM to ask should I send in the despatch note with my first claim. They replied that the despatch note IS required along with the bill and claim form.0 -
A foolish thing to do if you're in that situation.0

Got to agree.
You are now accepting that CNM can change T&C's to suite themselves and you will abide by any changes.

mmm. Got a reply from mobile affilaties.
They initially turned down my wifes first cashback claim because they said it didnt include the original despatch note (it did!). I wrote to them giving them final warning and pointing out that the original T+Cs did not mention this.
They;ve replied to say that thats fair enough and they will pay this claim 'in due course' and reinstate any future claims. They also sent what they say was the correct claim form.
Still havent sent the cheque though. Its been over 3 months since the claim went in (in fact, the second claim went in about 4 weeks ago!)..
Surprised me a bit because I assume they;d just say no. Dont know whether to wait for a cheque or continue to the small claims court?0 -
I!think a required read for any customer of coolnewmobile or mobile affiliates, past present or future is "Unfair Terms in contracts with consumers" published by the Office of Fair Trading. especially item 14.2 mentioned by a previous poster.
As a courtesy, i have provided a copy to them in my letter im just about to post off to them by recorded delivery. No doubt it will make a nice office paper airplane until i arrange a date in court with them!0 -

I may well be right behind you in the court queue!!! Just giving them (Phoneboxdirect) all the opportunity to respond... I trust you've written to their Stafford address (I think CNM share Phoneboxdirect's complaints address)? I wrote to them on the 3rd or so, no reply yet but I guess we've had the postal stikes so a bit more time may be. Have also emailed them today...0 -
I!was just going to send to their Bingham address they have for the "Claims Dept", as this was the address at the top of their rejection letter. I'll keep the po box number the same as the claim form, all i want from them is a delivery confirmation from the letter, as i doubt they are going to act on it anyway.
How much time did you give them to respond? I allowed 10 working days for mines, plus a few days allowance for delivery. i'll probably bump into you in the courtroom at the same time!0
