Hi,
I am sure this question has already been asked but I cannot find the answer. I am about to send off my first claim and would just like to check. Do I need to just send the most recent bill or do I need to send the first monthly bill (to prove connection date) and most recent?
Thanks0 -
me22ac, if you haven't ported your number you don't need to send the first bill.
You will need to check if you need to send your despatch note though!!!!!!!

sinjin, I would still send in future claims.
It may well be worth the fees to challenge this unfair term. You're right they are a different breed. I could also suggest a few other phrases, but I might get banned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To avoid the basic mistake of the wrong reference number (and one or two others), if you copy at least twice as many claim forms as you need and then fill in the correct number etc. at the time it would be a good idea.
If it's any consolation, I have two contracts with Mobile Affiliates and to date haven't yet received any cashbacks. I fully intend to receive them all though (provided they are still around!).0 -
"If they are still around" is the key question.
But going bust will save others from taking a deal from these crooks.

In that case you'd have to do away with ALL cashback dealers - since they all fall into that category. Personally I'd consider another deal with this lot; but only when the risk-reward profile adjusts i.e. when i am prepared to risk a certain amount in return for the potential return. At present I'm not eligible by their own t&c for another few months anyway. At least they DO actually USE their own t&c - unlike some others you're familiar with!0

Each to their own, but I personally will NEVER EVER take out another contract with CNM or any of their other companies.
IMHO I believe their deals are aimed at enticing customers with their "glitter" and then looking at every angle to "screw" them.
I boldly predict they will not be around in 12 months time and even doubt whether I will get my remaining 3 cashbacks from them, I just hope I can get the next one and then I'm not too bothered about the rest, but they will be gladly received.
I agree e2save aren't following the T&C's which seems silly as it leaves them vunerable. I wish they would be more clear with the way they want claims submitted, but they have created confusion. Time will tell with these, but they could also be as bad as CNM - let's hope not.
Mobileshop have seemed to have dropped out of the free 12 months deals of late, perhaps because of all the bad reviews they have had. Maybe the end is nigh for these deals, enjoy it while you can.

That's my philosphy with everything; why would mobile phones be different? Actually having completed two 12 month free contracts a week ago I have another new one so I'm back up to 8 and always looking for more. I know there's a movement developing from uncompetitive competitotrs (including the networks themselves of course!) and the disgruntled masses who have been denied their cashbacks and I am dead against that. There are too many interefering, well-meaning people in positions of power who tinker in things they don't fully understand and end up harming those they are supposedly trying to help.
Never would have guessed they were enticing customers with their "glitter"; in fact, ALL these companies do precisely that - and now there are no differences between any of them. They are ALL crooks today - including cpw. Not sure why the Mobile Shop is singled out; all three companies (MA, cpw and MobileShop) USED to have generally excellent feedback until the past 6 months; now they are absolutely as bad as the rest (and just as likely as MA to disappear). There are also logical reasons why 12 month free deals come and go on ALL the sites. It's a question of basic mathematics and marketing. Actually I think MA is highly likely to be around in 12 months time - but ANY cashback deal is a risk-reward process and since I'm well ahead of the game, I am game when and if the time is right. I wouldn't take my frineds to MA though - not unless they knew the risks and were fairly determined, which is most unlikely!0 -
Also his/her "Free" sims costs £1 each.
Or does he/she mean that they are free but have £1 credit?
They're free and have £1 credit on it. Vodaphone usually have £5.
I personnally don't need a mobile unless its for emergencies anyway. I don't see the need to talk to someone for 15 minutes on a mobile just for the sake of talking to them. If half the people on here were to lose there mobiles then it would have no affect on them in the least, apart from not being able to talk on the mobile in the supermarket about what baked beans they should buy , or annoy people try to use public transport. It may even save them the frustration of having to go down the legal route when the companies decide not to pay out (which if you look at the business models of these companies is sometimes very likely).have to carry around two phones to be able to make and receive calls......
confuse everyone you do ring with a new number every few weeks
I only have 1 phone, never mentioned having 2.
Why would people be confused? You either answer a call, or you don't. If I'm going to miss a meeting, then I'll call someone, they'll answer. Hardly confusing is it.
But thats not the point.0 -
Hi there, my first post, so go easy!
ok, i had my phone last year with coolnewmobile and i got every single penny back. i had to make 5 equal cashback requests and always sent my ORIGINAL bills by special delivery (cost aout £4.75).
you have to be very careful and meticulous but they def pay up. i got a brand new free phone, loads of mins and texts and then claimed the whole lot back!!!!!!! when it ended this year i tried to do the same and went throught the same site. now i have a brand new sonyericson for free (sold my other phone on ebay for about £65 ) and i have recently just completed my first cashback and am waiting for the money now. the only difference is that its now using a company called phonebox direct.
be careful - read the Tand C's and if you port your number you have to send in your first bill as well as the one they specify - normally the one that show s youve been connected for 120 days.
you download the cashback forms and print them out. I always print out all 5 and fill them in so that im prepared. you normally have to claim 5 EQUAL installments ie £35 x 12 divided by 5. but check check check
