Just signed up for the 'L' Broadband.
£20 (£15 for first 3 months). If I get the cashback I should end up paying £6.25 per month for the duration of the contract. Happy enough with that.:D0 -
Top Cash Back
Cashback could take almost three months for any credit to come to your account. One serious problem I have encountered with Top cashback recently is that after initially showing cashback in your account, after few weeks it suddenly changes to £0.00 with no email of communication why it has happened. This does not seem right as you would less likely to suspect that your cashback has changed from £150 to 0.00 pounds after two to three months as you don't get any email to explain why it has happened.
There is nothing preventing topcashback to pocket your cashaback and blame the provider for withdrawing it.
Has it happened to any one else and what should we do about it?0 -
Virgin are now doing one that's free for three months, then £14 thereafter (plus Virgin line at £11/month).

I've been a Virgin customer for years, I'm in the process of moving away as broadband is so poor - after 6pm it is unuseable. Have reported this several times, customer service sucks.... they take around 48 hours to respond, generally quoting the wrong problem and have never resolved the problem despite me keeping on reminding them, they just really just couldn't be a*d.
Another thing to watch out for is that they will put up their prices then offer new customers special deals so you could end up paying way over the top. They will haggle though if you give them a call.
Shame the broadband is so bad... maybe it's just a local thing
I agree. We used to have a Virgin phone & broadband, the broadband went down frequently. There was no reward for customer loyalty (an increasing trend these days I find ) they were offering a fab TV, broadband & phone deal to new customers but when we moved house wouldn't offer me any incentive to sign up for their package & take their service with me - so I didn't.
I swapped to a Sky TV, phone & broadband package & was better of financially (saved £18 pcm) and get great service all round now.
The only thing I'd add is that Virgin did give us 1/2 price line broadband for a while when we said we were going to get rid of it, so they do shift on price if you're resolute.Emma :hello:0 -
Signed up to Virgin through Quidco on Friday, £150 tracked and validated already, not sure if i have to cancel Broadband and phone with BT or Virgin contact them for me?0

As it's cable you can have both along side each other, so you would probably have to cancel the BT and ADSL yourself.0

If you are porting your number from BT I believe your line will cease automatically, but BT should write to you to say that Virgin have contacted them and advising it will cease unless they hear from you.0 -

If you have come to the end of your contract, you can't just simply cancel and take out a new contract through Quidco?
We got a leaflet through with some great deals so called them up as we've been customers since 2001. They dropped the price to match the offer so we now pay £28 when it was £43 for the same service - worth a call!
