I let my DD to SP come out this month because I still haven't received any info from EON on actual switching dates but I'll probably cancel the DD before October's payment because I've just worked out I'm ~ £180 in credit currently. I really don't want to be owed the thick end of £300 - I went thru that when I switched from Swalec to SP last Summer.
A bit of a worry is that I can still see my account online - yet I had the email about losing access two weeks ago.

Further to my last email I've actually input the latest readings onto the web site (altho' not raised a bill) - it is actually recalculating the last quarters bill and adding on the extra 6 weeks to show a credit after 4.5 months - it appears to work to my disadvantage somehow as the credit figure is lower than I've worked out via spreadsheet but I can't see their calculations without formally submitting the latest meter readings!!

Well I've worked out I should be OK regarding my final balance, I was in credir by £20 when I downloaded my last bill on 20th August, I pay £75 on 1st of every month giveing me a total credit of approx £95, my averageGas & Elect bill is approx £30 a month. the switch should be well in hand now (if not virtually completed) so there should be enough funds there to cover my final bill to SP, even if they double there charges.

Have you received your gas switch over date yet?

I got the 'losing access' email on Tuesday 15th, and by yesterday, 48 hours later, I had lost access. Not sure at what point during those 48 hours my access went, but they certainly lost no time denying access.

Fortunately I took screen shots of it all, just in case (not that I'm paranoid!!), as soon as I got the 'losing access' email.

No I have'nt, funny really I got my Elect switch over date for the 7th Sept a couple of weeks ago the letter also stated the gas switch over date date would follow in a few days time, but nothing as yet, I got my account No etc for the Elect along with other details for me to check a couple of days ago (so i assume the Elect has been switched over OK), but as yet no word about the Gas.

I switched my electricity to EDF on 6th September, and phoned them as I was going away, and they said my gas switch date was 23rd September, but as yet I've had nothing in writing

Spoke too soon, just had my notification from EDF to say my gas supply starts with them on 22nd, and they now need my meter reading
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Might be worth phoning EDF and telling them you will be away for a week as the letter says they need your meter reading within 5 days.
