This means that you do not have default letters yet.

if you have been running thses accounts that long, you should also apply for the CCA. Will post later.

    Hi Jordan,

Always treat ever debt the same, you cant pay additional money to one lender and pay the cccs money to distribute to everyone, its one of the conditions of the dmp arrangement. Stick to your guns babes, like you say they cant have what you havent got.

    Keep smiling

    original CCA request letter:

Send it registered post with the £1 postal order - rather than a cheque, do not sign, just write your name on it.

I do not acknowledge any debt to your company.

With reference to the above, we would be grateful if you would send us a copy of this credit agreement, statement of account and notice of assignment.

We understand that under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 (Sections 77−79), we are entitled to receive a copy of our credit agreement on request. We enclose a payment of £1.00 which represents the fee payable under the Consumer Credit Act.

We understand a copy of our credit agreement should be supplied within 12 working days.

We understand that under the Consumer Credit Act creditors are unable to enforce an agreement if they fail to comply with a request for a copy of the agreement under these sections of the Act.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Yours faithfully

    Hi Jodan,

Just catching up with your thread - don't give these muppets any more time with your charges reclaiming letters. If they haven't responded - send the next stage letter.:)

Forgot to mention - its probably worth CCA'ing some of your older agreements - the letters above are just the job to get started :)

    Hi,
I've sent off second letters today after reading your advise, am hoping that they'll pay up so I can reduce these debts. Can't believe how easy it was to get in this muddle and how complicated it is to get out of it.

Good luck and keep me informed of your victories, can honestly say your an inspiration to a lot of people on here.:A I'll keep looking out for your posts. X

    Thanks Jodan:D

Which second letters did you send off? I have recently discovered there are no valid CCA's for 2 of my largest creditors so I have now stopped payments and am saving this money to make low F&Fs on the other ones who are actively chasing me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It is easy to get into this muddle, and stupidly its a choice we all made - however, together we seem to be pulling each other forward! Onward and upward - keep at it Jodan!

Just smiled as I read the title of your thread again - how far you have come:rolleyes:

    Hi Gargrave,

Know what you mean about how far I've come but still heck of a way to go yet.

I sent the letter off the main forum, the one which mentions previously having written asking for charges and that they have 14 days until I start court proceedings.

Got a letter yesterday from Barclaycard offering me the full amount of £108 plus £10.18 interest. So another good result, obviously they are taking it off the £560 that I owe them but at least it lowers one of my debts. Pity it's the smallest one.

Glad to hear you have had some good news on the ccas, unfortunately mine all seem to be in order so could be some time before my debts are gone. Don't know if I'd have been this strong without your help and advise. Big thanks as always. X :D
