Every penny off a debt counts - better still when they don't come out of your own purse!:D
You have been incredibly strong and we are all really proud of what you have achieved so far. Not only have you faced this dreadful problem that you had been avoiding for many a year (like many of us did!), you plucked up the courage to share this terrible secret with your hubby - and stood firm through the backlash. Now you are tackling it together - you are the example here!:ALBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free

Hi gargrave,
been battling on all fronts at the minute. Mbna won't play nice, are refusing to pay charges and have offered a measly £100 goodwill gesture for mis-selling ppi. Crapital One have offered me £244 for charges (I know I shouldn't turn my nose up) but claim is for £507.68, so feel I want a bit more please (I sound like Oliver Twist), they also are refusing they sold ppi. Lombard are "looking into" ppi claim, so still waiting there. Know altogether it's not going to wipe out debts but would reduce by a couple of thousand. Saw your good news about your AA refund of charges, a big well done you.:D
I keep popping in to check up on everyone but not been posting much as I never seem to be moving forward much these days. I've turned into a lurker. Lol. Hope all is going well with you and will keep checking your diary to see how you are. XAugust 2009 - Debt free - August 2013

Hey Jodan,
Lurk away, but I know from personal experience that when I lurk I tend to lose momentum:rolleyes:. I know you think that by "not moving forward" there is nothing to report, but sometimes thats the best time to post - because you lose your spark and can really benefit from continuing to plug away. You know the support is great:D! Good luck, please keep posting. We all hit the wall where after initial vigour it starts to fade away, but I did this so many times when I thought I had my lightbulb moment - it didn't get me anywhere. Now I just post about absolutely nothing (as you well know!!!:rotfl::rotfl:), but you lot keep me going! Keep your chin up - and keep at them. Blue Jeans did well with PPI - don't know if she has any experience with the ones you are dealing with
. Don't back down until you get something you are happy with regards credit card charges. I can't wait for the result of this test case, because my bank charges claims are pretty big!:o LBM 30/6/9 Unsecured debts [STRIKE]£25,323.48[/STRIKE] £0 :T Debt free
