I can't speak for your case, but when I checked a newly-bought case in all the airlines' template bins at Luton airport (which differ from each other!), I found that the Ryanair bin is slightly larger than the stated allowable dimensions. Of course, if it's a flexible bag you should be able squash it in if you haven't overfilled it!

Any info to put my mind at rest greatly appreciated -

I have booked some flights with Ryanair (never used the airline before but £16 return to Portugal had me sold)..

I have been speaking to a few people who told me that price might not cover an additional taxes or fees etc..
Now im worried as when I booked the price had £0.00 for fees and taxes and free online check in so I assumed there are no charges for this..
I have paid for the flights and received my itenary.

Will I have any suprise charges at the airport or when I arrive in Portugal and vice versa for my retun home?

No problem as long as long as you print out your boarding pass and comply with the cabin luggage policy

OK - booked flights 14 Nov, and have the booking reference. We're due to fly 16th Ja (returning 22nd), so tried to do the online check-in today, and it says that email+booking ref+ destinations don't match.

Is there anything I can do apart from calling the 10p/minute 'help' line? I know the payment's been processed, since it appears on my cc statement, with a reference that includes the booking number.

I've even tried 'mis-typing' my email address

Its probably because you are 16 days from flying & not 15 days.

Good point - although I couldn't get in to 'manage my booking' either.

But anyway, I bit the bullet and called the 10p/minute number, and in less than 5 mins (so lots cheaper than parking at STN) I got it sorted; they didn't say anything about charging for it either. Problem was bozo here mis-typing the relevant email address.

I've now received the itinerary by email, so online check-in should be all good...

Maybe they've turned over a new leaf? :grouphug: One can but hope!

Ive been having a quick look around the Ryanair website, and it seems like booking/administration fees are not being charged for the Ryanair cash passport, but also for prepaid Mastercards, is this correct or am I just missing something?

The fee for PP Mastercard is only waived if your country of departure is one in which the Ryanair Cash Passport isn't available. So for instance, if you're flying from the UK, the admin fee is charged if you pay with PP Mastercard.

I booked my flights from Milan to Manchester and entered the name on the Ryanair website for my boyfriend as Phil not Phillip.

Are they likely to pick up on this in Milan when we board and we'll get charged a stupid amount to change the ticket, or should I just called them now and get charged £10 instead?
