Per Ryanair Mag 16.05.2010 next to MO'Ls regular spot ...
The following is a list of cost saving proposals currently being developed by Ryanair, ....

    ....UNLIMITED BAGGAGE
....Ryanair may soon allow passengers to bring unlimited baggage, as long as they can bring it to the aircraft departure gate. Passengers will be allowed to bring one piece of hand baggage (10kg) onto the aircraft. Baggage handlers will load their remaining bags directly into the hold of the aircraft and place them at the bottom of the aircraft stairs upon arrival for retrieval by passengers.
    .....
Ryanair aims to test this proposal on selected routes by winter 2010."

I am flying with Easyjet in the summer and I need a backpack for hand luggage...as my current backpack is decent, but I feel it could be bigger as its smaller then the minimum size.

Does anyone have any recommendation? Weight is not important as will not be flying with Ryanair, cant stand them.

Is the Cabin Max Backpack the best value for money at £37?
  • All this hype about the security risks of liquids and pastes strikes me as nothing more than a ruse to stop people bringing their own refreshments into the airport, forcing them into buying the exorbitant ones airside. The security argument doesn't stack up - assuming for the sake of argument that I wanted to - I could create a far more serious situation by smashing a glass dutyfree bottle into someone than any threat I could pose with my blunt eyebrow tweezers or tube of lipgloss!!
we always go to boots airside and purchase their meal deal, same price as high street.

I've got the cabin max backpack, I got it when it was £17 delivered on Amazon but since then its rocketed in price. I thought it was a good purchase at the price I paid but dont think it's worth £37 tbh.

Is it fine if your bag is soft and you can squeeze it into the checking guidelines? I think my bag would be 1-2cm over if full!

That is the norm - you are not asked to remove your contents for weighing.
