In you poll you dont give the choice for they offered me nothing I am still with o2... but only think I would say as long as o2 have iphone and the new plam and they have high spenders on those tarriffs why not let some low value customers go, pluse in the last three months o2 added 300000 new pay monthly iphone customers so why not lose the low value customers o2 isnt loyal to anyone they are after all a business.

Id agree, but just wait till half of them loose there jobs, that phone is going to be last on the long line of bills to get paid. Not a good way to go in a recession I think.

Loosing any amount or type of customers is damaging to the network, as if you not happy, you tell your friends and family and the bad news can spread like wild fire.

O2 have got as good as they have because they offer great value, good customer service and most important very good service.
    Kind Regards

Clearly O2's whole strategy revolves around the Iphone/Palm Pre- if the Iphone in any incarnation is offered on another network then I fancy that strategy will have to change. After all what is the point in having an expensive contract for 18 months when you could buy an Iphone for around 250 quid on another network and a just use a SIM only deal?

I'm very surprised they haven't pulled the plug on the 3G yet- and aggressively marketed the 3GS as being infinitely better. Even if they hung on to exclusivity they would have lost nothing.

I think the out come is clear if o2 lose the iphone then they will start to worry about losing customers if they dont then they will carry on not worrying about the small fry.. we need a blip and it can happen look at tesco last year it got it wrong..

I dont think the way they are going, once apple do a deal with other networks, that o2 is going to have many of there long standing loyal customers. Only time will tell.

  • I went for a o2 sim only deal.
My O2 contract is due for renewal (I pay £20 p/m at the minute) in a couple of weeks. Have they completely stopped offering good retention deals or is it still worth trying?

There's no offers!!!! Go elsewhere if you don't like what O2 have on offer, they won't change their bid.
