I've just been reading a few of the above posts, simply because on Friday of this week, I am due to "go live" with the phone bit of talktalks "free broadband forever" package. (After 2 months without broadband, courtesy of e7even, a company incidently that had been perfect for a yr then after agreeing to increase speed I lost connection). I'm hopefull that with talktalk I will have a trouble free time. Having spent many hours browsing on this and other sites, via libraries, it would seem that WHOEVER one chooses, it is pot luck regarding everything on offer, and, irrespective of how much is invested.
My date for going "live with broadband " is July 16th !!!!!!!!!!!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
The phone number to call is: 0870 087 0870Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0

RFB wrote:- Why is the 18418 prefix needed for international calls?
With all billing being handled by TT they should be able to apply the correct tariff without the need for a prefix
Yeah, they told me that the prefix is in the terms and conditions, but it only appears in the definitions section, and never in relation to calling in any way that I understood. And charging for calls without alerting me to the fact I need to use the prefix is just plain wrong. Beware.
Also, I've not got my broadband yet because the customerservices email address seems to be a blackhole for new MAC codes... They apparently tried to migrate my account on 1st of June and failed, but nearly 3 weeks later and they hadn't bothered to let me know...
Getting a bit worried, especially now I've read about VPN restrictions and P2P (I use Messenger).
How do I cancel?!0 -

I was with TalkTalk broadband for 2.5 months, that was 2.5 month too long, they are absolutely useless for broadband, their phone service used to be good, but since they started offering line rental, that's poor now. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Our Voicemail hasn't been activated yet because we haven't been connected for 7 days. I tried 1571 though the other day though and a BT message came on saying press 1 to order the 1571 service, so don't know whether this would still work.
I did order it originally , but not added, they say you can add by contacting ( tel or email) ... include all the normal security questions thoughAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -
Killibill wrote:I signed up for the Talk Talk Broadband Package on 13th April with an estimated going live date of end of June.
I received a letter on 8th May saying I was going live on 9th May.
Modem arrived on 10th May.
Had to buy a longer cable to reach phone point.
Up and running on 14th May.
How is that for service?
So far so good!

I signed up early april, going live day was supposed to be 20th May.
I started paying for the service immediately.
Since then ive had no communication no updates and no replies to emails.
Obviously my go live date of may20th is overshot by a month and a bit!!!!!!0
