Sorry Guys/Gals - I have been on Talktalk all day today and absolutely no problems whatsoever - I have never been lucky - so there you go.

Don't worry, your time will come, it comes to all in the end, then you will be tearing your hair out.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)
  • Hello - going to the top obviously works because I have had 2 phone calls today apologising, I have been guaranteed delivery of my modem by Tuesday AND they have offered me some money as a goodwill gesture. I won't say how much but let's say it has helped ease my bitterness towards them.

    Welshy x

I posted this on 28th July and it was 2 days ago that they actually paid me the goodwill gesture some 9 months or so after they promised

They only paid out because I contacted Charles Dunstone again and told him I was extremely annoyed that they would promise something but not fulfil it.

;) I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL ;)
  • Have been on Talktalk for over a year and its still superb in my book. Has anybody considered the fact that posts are only about complaints. Satisfied customers don't bother - I'm an exception to this rule of course.

sorry don't know how to start a thread. I've just moved to Germany permanently. I have a landline installed but no internet as yet. Does anyone know of a phone provider I can add to Deutche Telecom to make cheap calls to the uk on a regular basis? Thanks

Well TT offer me a minimum saving of £7.58p/m and I can't afford to ignore that. Currently I'm with Tiscali for line rental and broadband.

My issue (maybe the first of many!) is this: yesterday I did the availability check on TT.co.uk and it came back OK. Today it is rejecting the same details and telling me the postcode/tel. num. combination is invalid!

If I try tomorrow will it be OK or am I going to have to pick up the phone?

Given that Tiscali provide my line rental, will I be able to switch using a MAC or will I need to cancel Tiscali and sign up with TT and take the downtime in the middle?

Hi, does anybody know where I stand in regards to the following:
Been with Talktalk after 18 months (had nothing but trouble!) sent them an email asking if it would cost us to leave, received one back saying no we weren't in contact so it wouldn't cost. So took steps to join Virgin. Sent Talktalk a second email just to confirm it would be free to leave they respond saying yes it's £70 to leave! It was only due to me being thourough that we had that second email.

How can they give me two lots of conflicting advice and am I in a contact officailly since I haven't signed anything?

Any info greatly recieved! I really want to leave! They are the WORST company! The cs is TERRIBLE! The service is apalling!

talktalk, downloading and upload bit torent at 8kb/s.
downloading at 1kb/s for a torrent with 1000 seeds.
    torrents definitely blocked.
  • talk talk does not allow torrents during the day, but you can download in the middle of the night

My TT 18m contract has expired
I cant complain about the TT b/band and telephone service but there are a LOT of good deals out there and there is also a recession underway
I would like to retire, so Im counting the pennies
So far Ive been offered half rate for 6 months on the monthly fee. Worth about 18 quid I would reckon?
What is the best deal I can expect?
I have a strong negotiating position, in that I am sitting on a number of offers
