    Were they franked mail ?
If so stick them back in the post box, they come straight back and they get charged each time, keep it up until they wear out or send some new ones.

Agree. If you recognise the envelope as part of the chain letter sequence (return address is often a giveaway, otherwise hold it up against a strong light, which normally shows enough to know if it's them or not), just return to sender, unopened. Not only does it cost them, it also saves you from any anxiety you may suffer on reading threats made in large red font.

No, no.....don't return it to the sender.

Instead put it in a postbox and it will be redelivered to you...but the nice part is that RM will 'fine' the sender for either using a general postbox [as opposed to the franked mail one] or for having the wrong date on the frank.

Repeat ad nauseum, and chortle everytime it pops back through your door.

Very excited to recognise a 3rd letter in chain just now[unopened of course:D], confirmed under strong light as advised:j and can't wait 'til demain to re-post it.
Would either Slithy, vax or oops like to advise which return will cost CP most, before I eventually submit my own Invoice for time spent, distress incurred, in dealing with this harassment?

Envelope is printed with '2 ROYAL MAIL, POSTAGE PAID GB, WATFORD 16241' recto.

Rtn addy is the usual PO Box 599, Borehamwood, HERTS WD6 4ZL verso.

    Hi everyone,
Some really useful information here. I parked recently in a *ahem* undisclosed car park which I normally pay via 'ringo' an app on my phone. I forgot to do it that morning as was in a hurry.

When I returned to the car in the afternoon, I had a PCN from CP Plus stuck to my windscreen. It was the standard 'You parked in contravention of the terms and conditions of this parking site as details on the signs' and as such have been fined £80 (or a reduced fine if paid within 14 days.

I came straight home, a little peeved at this and did a few searched before getting to this website. Because I am registered with Ringo, they have all of my details so locating me for the fine won't be difficult.

    I was wondering 2 things,
    1. Does it make any difference that I am registered with Ringo?
    2. should I just pay the Ringo fee for the day and ignore it? The fee is normally around £4 but is a daily charge, not timed so might be able to argue that I paid the days fee however late?

    Thanks
