We are still getting letters off them after recieving our first for staying just 20 mins at a Morrisons CP, we've had around 10 letters, the one this morning was headlined has "NOTICE OF INTENDED LITIGATION".

We have recieved a letter around once a week since the first notice, it doesn't seem like they are going to go away, notsure what to do now!!

We haven't responded to any letters they have sent.

By sending 10 letters tells you something of their methods, to try and wear you down. If they had any intention of going any further they would do it rather then sending letters.

Its strange some get 3 or 4 letters some get many more, but they all have the same outcome they stop eventually.

Don't worry about the constant barrage of letters.

Do you really think they'd be sending you all these letters if they actually had a case against you ? No. If they had a case against you they'd take you court immediately, And not waste money and time on sending you junk mail.

Keep ignoring, Let them waste there money and time by sending you junk mail.

This is from the CP Plus website, so would this form part of the "contract" with their customers?

So even if you "re-offend" once (i.e. park twice without paying), they say they will "not punish" you.

Except there is no "offence" and they cannot "enforce" anything. They are not the police or the council, but just some tin-pot private company with pretensions of grandeur.

By using that word "punish" they are also admitting that they are setting out to penalize somebody, and not just claim for the losses suffered by the landowner.

I don't think that admits anything – they say they are NOT looking to punish those who don't re-offend. (and, for that matter, they don't commit to doing any more than identify those who do). It's almost like they're covering their own backs here!

It can be very easy to be swept up in the 'take a stand against the man' vibe here, but we should be careful to post things which are accurate rather than hyperbole.

I have had 9 parking penalties and three solicitors letters from cp plus and trehowens, shame on them for harrasing me, these tickets are all from a hospital car park, where I pay monthly to park but the staff car park is always full, and so I park in visitors car park, I ignore the letters etc,
I pay for a parking service that cannot be provided, its bonkers!!:j

Hi there i have also now received the letter stating that i have been given FINAL CHANCE TO PAY a reduced amount after which i will be taken to court. I have been following the information on this site and ignoring the letters but some times it does scare you :eek:.

I have not provided them with any details and have not been in touch with them. All the letters have also not been recorded delivery.

Somebody give me some reassurance man
