sometimes its important not to loose letters, what would happen if you attached it to a large oversized object, just big enough to go in a postbox and then posted it back?
I know RM charge extra for larger packages, but if the postage has already been paid then that shount be a problem should it?

It's the same with the TV lisencing people, use words to scare you but when it comes down to it they have no teeth.

    True.

I have 28 letters from TV Licensing, including 5 telling me "What to expect in court".

The first "What to expect in court" letter arrived in January last year.

17 months on, and I'm still waiting for the summons. :p
  • Difference is they will prosecute for not having a TV license. Teeth or not!

Not if you don't need one and/or don't communicate with them.

The method is the same for both PPCs and TV Licensing.

    IGNORE, IGNORE, and IGNORE AGAIN.

Or have them, but don't use them for licensable things.

  • Hello
Having read all the threads I thought I'd join in. I received a £90 charge - or £50 if I pay before the 12th July - for parking at a services for 3hr 12mins instead of the allowed 2hrs. (Sigh)
Would be interested to hear how far these Scammers have gone with other people who ignored the letters and further warning letters. Has your credit rating been affected?

They cannot affect your credit rating.

Everyone who ignored the tickets in the last few years on our advice, all got sent to prison and had their homes repossessed.

Oh no, hang on, nothing happened. The PPC went away and left them alone.

I just had a little run in with this company and sent them an email. I would like to see what you lot think of it. Here it is:

My name is ****** ******, my notice reference number is *************and the registration number is **** ***, which i was the driver of at the time.
Following my previous email, attached are three photographs of my receipt, which i suggest you have a good look at (not showed on this forum). As you can clearly see, I purchased my parking ticket on the right date, at the right time, at the right place and paid the right amount.

Your corrupt attempts to scam me out of my money didn't work. I am guessing that you try this on with thousands of other unsuspecting motorists, removing any records of received payments from your system, and leaving me 10 days to conveniently lose my receipt so that you make millions. If this ISN'T true, then why am I holding my receipt right now? You are Absalotely Pathetic

I also don't appreciate being called a "sarcastic f*cking pratt" by a member of your staff over the phone. I was sarcastic, because i knew that i was right. But I did not swear or resort to childish name-calling.
The same cannot be said about the man at the other end of the phone, who said these words at the end of the call.

So I have done everything right and your company has harassed me.
I have proven that I have purchased my ticket, which puts you totally in the wrong.
How dare you attempt such an obvious scam on me?
Maybe you should make your life worth living and get a job that helps others.

Probably too late for that though?
    oh well

    Regards
    ***** *****
