The top and bottom of this is even if it was a legitimate claim, the accusation is that you parked on site for 7 hours!! You know you didn't your manager knows you didn't so why on earth are they saying pay it???
Are you in the union? It may be worth a chat to your union rep if you are!
As you have pointed out the last problem they had was a legitimate council parking ticket, not a mickey mouse invoice!
Given the amount of vehicles they have they don't know much. Geez the most I ever had was 23 but I would not be suckered like this, and boy let me tell you in transport they do try!0 -
Thank you Coupon-mad and esmerobbo for all of your support and information. I've sent my own representation to CP Plus. I have also given a copy to my manager and explained everything once again. No surprise he's still concerned, but I told him that I am not in position to pay my own money for the scam. I will inform you about progress in my case.0

Sit tight CP Plus don't do court and if they don't respond in the positive to your representations don't worry about it!
If you were unlucky enough to be taken to court, [more chance of winning the lottery!!] A court would wipe the floor with them!0 -
My brother-in-law just got a letter from CP Plus. He got a puncture at a service station. After the AA had been and sorted him, he'd been there for 3h 23 minutes.
He got the usual "£80, but £50 if paid in 14 days"
But he also got another offer. They would reduce it to £20 if he sent them a receipt from the services to show he'd used it!
He asked me what he should do, and we now have another convert to the "ignore" ranksOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0 -

Has anyone shared the stories about going to court with CP+? Do you know any outcomes and is there any previous court decision similar to my case?0 -
CP Plus don't do court so your question is irrelevant. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

As trisontana says you wont get an answer to that as no one has ever been!;)
Beside in your case it would be good, they would get spanked you could have a day off and claim expenses and costs from them!;)0 -

Hi all! As you may know from my posts, I sent my representation to cp+. I have also put a self-addressed envelope for their responseYesterday I've got the letter from them. Parking charge notice has been cancelled and no further action is to be taken. Tomorrow I will give a copy to my manager and once again advice him not to suggest employees to pay the 'fine' straight away, but concider all possible options. I heard the story that poor UPS guy paid 80 pounds for 'parking' at the same service station without any fight. Thank you guys for helping me to be strong and stay firm

Although it was never going to go anywhere at least its over now. However how dumb is whoever sent that invoice in the first place. Does someone really believe a Royal mail van would be parked up for 7 hours?
My man doesn't park up long enough for me to get to the door!!:p0 -
Good morning all.
Please may I join the CP Plus Club?
Letter rcvd today states an earlier one[not rcvd] with photographic 'evidence' was sent, relating [ I presume] to my dozing in a Roadchef after a long drive to o/n ferry.
I was just about to print off crabman's rebuttal, suitably amended and send it RD, but will now save that postage, having read and enjoyed these related Threads.
I don't usually Crimbo this house, but may I hope that coloured letters will arrive in time to create festive decor paper chains/lanterns?
Do CP Plus do sparkly at this time of year? Is it worth my requesting that 'any future correspondence' does so?
Thankyou all for complete reassurance, time given to these Threads, and much amusement in reading.
