Tesco Savings Loophole: Make £10 with £1 Savings

My account was opened around 22 Aug. Had £1000 in there on the 7th October. Just received my November clubcard statement and my points aren't there
Is there anyone I can write or email to (don't much like phoning), or should I just wait for the next statement?
BTW, I don't think this is a "loophole", it's a "promotion" imho and a pretty good one for TPF at that!0 -
I opened up one of these savings account on the pretence that I ws going to get the 1000 points advertised. I waited, phoned, waited, phoned more and eventually after seven months transferred all the money saved else where.
Tesco went back on their word and said I was only eligible for the 1000 points if I opened the account up with a minimum of £1000. (I didn't keep a screen shot of the web page when I opened up the account so had no evidence to take it further - doh!).
That will teach me a lesson for the future........0 -

Rang to let them know and found out they'd 'closed off' my original complaint when they rang me last week with the above explanation.
New formal complaint made, citing the above, and a call-back from their 'concerns' (I'll say!) team is scheduled for Friday.
Complaint resolved in 48 hours, to my complete satisfaction (hard cash goodwill payment now, and 1500 points are going on my February statement).

My wife and I have just had our club card points statements, we both opened instant access accounts.
I got the points OK for my new Instant Saver account (not a previous customer) but my wife got nothing on her club card and there are no points pending when checking her club card online. She already had a Tesco Internet saver account so suspect that is the excuse Tesco will try to use, although the start of this thread said she should still get the points OK (MSE Dan 31st July).
Suspect other people may have similar problems - will phone Tesco tonight to see what they have to say.0 -

This happened to my husband and I. I'm an existing account holder (Internet Saver), but he wasn't. I 'phoned them and they've added the missing points, but they've missed November's vouchers. I was told that it wasn't possible for them to tell whether the points that had been added automatically were from my account, or husband's, which doesn't sound right, but I was assured that's the case. They said they just check what eligible accounts we have, and what's been added to the Clubcard account, and if the wrong amount of points have been credited, they correct it.0 -
I also have an update on this. I opened the Instant Access Savings account and was told a couple of weeks ago that I would get 1,000 points added to my November clubcard statement. The statement came this week and the 1,000 points were not on there!
So I have just rung Tesco today. After speaking to the Clubcard points department, they told me to ring the Personal Finance department, so I rang the number the girl on the phone gave me and they said I had come through to the business banking department. He said he would put me through to the personal finance department and when I got through, he had put me through to Nat West bank. Obviously Tesco haven't got a clue what they're doing.
So then I rang the number on my savings account card (should have done that in the first place I suppose) and the man there was very apologetic and said
that due to a miscommunication between the personal finance division and the clubcard division, the November statements had been sent out to customers before the personal finance department had been able to notify clubcard of the promotional points that should be added. He said that they would honour the promotional points (why wouldn't they?) but that now they can't be added until the February statement. I asked if they could not be added onto my account straight away and he said no they couldn't. He then said that if I wasn't happy with that there was nothing else he could do except report a complaint to their customer care department.
I told him that he should pass on to his customer care department that it would have been a good idea to email or write to all the customers who this was affecting to tell them about the error rather than waiting for people to ring up and complain and he agreed this would have been a good idea.
If anyone from Tesco is reading this, while on the one hand, this is a good promotional offer which has obviously worked very well, I find the fact that you haven't given us our points and won't until February pretty dreadful. Score for customer service = 0.0 -

The points can definitely be added to your Clubcard account now, as my missing ones have already been added, but the vouchers have missed the November batch and now won't be sent out until March. I spoke to Customer Service Department, and they said the claim would be "put on a spreadsheet" to be dealt with. Sure enough a few days later, the points were added.0 -
My 500 clubcard points for having £1000 in the account on the right day were not in my Nov clubcard statement and voucher pack.
I phoned Tesco internet Savings to query this and they apologised and said it would be in my Feb clubcard statement instead. I politely told them how disappointed I was that I'd wanted the additional vouchers to help with Christmas shopping. She apologised again and said as a gesture of goodwill they would increase it to 1000 points (double) in my Feb statement.

Well done for getting the extra points! I wasn't offered that even though I said I wasn't happy. Mmmm, maybe I should try again!
Also re the previous post that said the points can be added on now but we won't get the vouchers till February. If the points are added on now, does that mean we can spend them with Tesco Partners without having the vouchers?0 -

They gave me an extra 500 points as well. No, you can't claim them until the next statement's issued.0
