Did you phone Tesco clubcard or TPF when you complained, YorkshireBoy?
For anyone else just sitting back and/or grumbling about their lack of points, the complaint process really is very simple and involves only one phone call from you...
You call TPF and register your concern with a frontline CSA.
Someone from their concerns team rings you back within 48 hours.
You tell them you're not impressed that they haven't complied with their own T&Cs.
You tell them you were putting the vouchers towards an Xmas present (of, say, £200-300 value) to be bought on their 'deals' promotion and now due to TPF failing to comply with their own T&Cs you'll have to dip into your own money (£60 if 1500 points expected) as February will be too late.
The outcome in my case was a £60 goodwill gesture paid to the Instant Access Savings Account now and the 1500 points paid in February (mine are already showing on till receipts now).
If you don't highlight their failings how will they ever get better?0 -
After complaining on Monday as the points had not been added to either my November statement or my wife's I was told I would get a call back. Then today I receive a letter telling me the accounts were not 'opened' in time for the 16th September deadline but if I wait until February I can qualify for the new deal if the moneys in the accounts on 31st December! The point is that the old deal apparently said the account had to be 'opened' by 16th and so supposedly we missed out as although the applications were submitted at the beginning of September TPF sat on them until the accounts were actually opened on the 22nd. Now the new deal says the account has to be 'applied for' between 17th September and 12th November. Strangely enough this is after the date we applied for the original deal and so we miss out again as the applications were before this date but as we now have accounts we are no longer new customers if we try to open further accounts.
Anyway I have rang in again and as I had been told by Customer Services back in October that I would qualify if the accounts had been 'applied for' they will give us the points in February plus an extra 500 each or the equivalent reward value of £60 each now and an extra 500 points each in February. However I was given the impression that this was only because I had been given the wrong information by the customer service rep I spoke with back in October. Is there anyone else who are being told they have missed the deadline when they had applied in time?0 -
The 'dates' have been changed now.....
You can collect up to 1,500 Clubcard points when you open an Instant Access Savings account. All you have to do is apply for an account between 12th November 2009 and 7th January 2010 and have a cleared balance at 28th February 2010 to qualify.
I missed out for this cycle, but will apply for the next one.....0 -

I can't remember now: did the clubcard # have to be entered during application? I took screenshots of everything but no clubcard # showing.Dagobert0 -
Now that I have the clubcard points, can anyone tell me the easiest way to close the account? Its only got a pound in, so would rather have the money transferred than a cheque sent out.0

I transferred £1000 so in was in on the day in question then out again a day or so later (just spent the tokens too). So I have a pound plus, well, maybe about 4p interest.
After I'd moved the balance in one day and out the next, I transferred the £1 out first leaving a zero balance (am registered for online banking, with card reader etc), then rang them to close it. I don't think there'd be any interest on mine as the funds were in and out next day, but was told any accrued interest would be sent by cheque. However, on a previous ocassion, when I closed an Interet Saver, they definitely transferred the closing accrued interest into my new Internet Saver .0 -
Here we are, a year on from taking up this deal last November and we still don't have our points! We put £3000 into the Internet Saver and waited patiently for out points in February...nothing. An apologetic phone conversation later and we were assured there'd been a mistake and 'some people's point had to be added by hand' and they would appear in our May mailing....nothing again. Another apologetic phone call saying that our points must have been added to someone else's account by mistake and a letter confirming that they had been added followed and we waited for our points in August. Nothing in August so we phoned again - this time we were told that the points couldn't be added as the card was in my name and not my partner who opened the account (there is nothing that states this on the terms and conditions), besides, we live together and shop together and so use the same Clubcard! Out of the goodness of their hearts, Tesco issued us with a new, temporary clubcard and a letter stating that 1000 points had been credited and that we would receive them in this November's mailing. Lo and behold, nothing again. Another phone call tonight (it's become a quarterly hobby) and we were told that the problem would be sorted out ASAP as it's not good enough. You're telling me?! I won't hold my breath, but it has become a matter of principle. STAY AWAY!:mad:0

An interesting development - today, out of the blue, my wife had a "surprise" December Clubcard statement which included £15 of vouchers to cover the 1500 points not in the November statement plus vouchers for her other accumulated points since November.0
