what tel number do people use? tried number on saynoto0870 none of them work
Putting a search into saynoto0870, using the 08457 10 40 10 number, produces a geographical number of 0141 567 0356, but if it doesn't work maybe they change them if too many people are calling them on it. I've used 0141 567 0477 in the past.0 -

Try the numbers suggested by 10_66 in previous post. If you don't have any luck try 01413 088 028, this is the geographical number I use to get through to Tesco Personal Finance instead of their 0845 number.Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk0 -

Hi guys,
Some confirmation from Tesco on the existing customer question:
" regarding your query about customers not being eligible for the points offer if they had existing savings accounts.
We are reconfirming that the offer is open to all new customers including existing Internet Saver customers."
HTH
DanHi folks,
I've been off work ill for a couple of days, but just got confirmation from Tesco (again) that this Clubcard points offer is open to existing Internet Saver customers. They say phone staff have been 'retrained' and if you experience problems from now on (which should hopefully be rare) then just call again and get a different operator.
Dan
According to Dan's ealier posts, Tesco staff should be aware of this. All you can do is to ring them again and insist on speaking to Customer Services/Complaints and ask for it to be escalated until you find someone who actually knows what they're talking about.0 -
Is this deal actually any good? MSE article says so, all the problems on this thread say otherwise. Plus you have to leave your £1000 in there for 2 months at a paltry 1% interest rate. Is it worth it?0

You don't have to leave your money in for a couple of months. When I applied for mine in August, I opened the account with £1 then just a week before the deadline date (points are calculated based on the cleared balance on a certain date - if opening now it's the 28 Feb) I transferred the money into the account, then transferred the money back out the day after the deadline date (so money only in for a few days). Points received on Clubcard account.0 -
Just sent off two applications to this - one for me and one for wifey.
Already have a Clubcard+ account, but phoned them first to check whether they would still award the points - they confirmed they would, because CC+ is a different account. Need to remember to put the larger money in by 28th Feb.
Standing by for the peper/signature deluge - although as a CC+ holder, I have done all this already, so may be spared the worst of it. We'll see...0 -
Trouble is, you have to sign up before 7 Jan and you can't just stick a £1 in then move a massive sum in just before the 28th Feb. Looks like you do have to open it with £1000 and leave it there for 2 months because its a £1000 minimum balance. Again is it really worth the hassle?
"Sign up to a Tesco Instant Access Savings account, before 7 January 2010 and if you're a new customer and you deposit at least £1,000 you'll be awarded a minimum of 500 points on its Clubcard rewards scheme. The points you get depend on how much you have sitting in the account on 28 February 2010...."
"Now the minimum deposit is £1,000, the return on the deal is slightly hit by the interest rate..."0 -

The £1,000 is just an example of what Clubcard points you'd benefit from for this balance. According to Tesco's website the minimum balance is £1 (interest rate of 0.75%, rising to 1.00% on balances of £10,000+).0 -
I opened an Internet Saver account with TPF last year (26th Nov) due their previous clubcard offer. If I was to close down my account and then apply for the Instant Access Savings account, would I be eligible for their present clubcard deal. It does state that the offer is not available to customers who have opened a Tesco Savings account in the last 12 months. As my account was opened more then a year ago and I would be a new Tesco Savings customer, due to the closure of my current TPF Internet Saver account, presumably I would be able to take up TPF on their new clubcard deal?"If you have much, give of your wealth; if you have little, give of your heart"0
