IO MEXICO - These prices are higher than those quoted to me and musicbox777 for a 12-month contract. So I am going to ask them to set it out for me exactly what the terms are. will let you know what I get back.

Well I've taken the plunge and signed up with Primus.

The deal is exactly as previously mentioned :

    Free modem & connection.
    1Mb speed unlimited download
    Freephone tech. support
12-month contract payable monthly by CC or DD
    Cost is £17.98 per month
Rebate is £15 per quarter making nett cost £12.98 per month.
In addition you get your first 3 months payments credited back at the end of the year. If it is the nett payment this works out at £38.94, so if you deduct that it works out at £9.735 per month. I feel that this credit must be used up on further monthly services. Bearing in mind that you also get free evening and week-end calls and daytime calls at 2p per minute, I don' think you can beat this deal.
I spoke to a guy called Grant Ross on their freephone number 0800 036 0094 and had it all confirmed by email and letter to follow. There is a 14-day cooling off period.

Iam going to give it a go Option 2 with 2 meg BB (my son likes to play Xbox live and I like to surf). I am with BTYahoo and Tesco at the mo so potential savings are £15-£20 a month (12 or 18 month contract). I hope they are reliable.

Hi, have just signed up, I havent had the T&C yet .The deal I took was 2mb, unlimited use and free calls in the evening and weekend ( limited to 90 mins per call).I took the 12 month contract and opted for online billing .Its going to cost me £16.99 which I think is excellent .I will let you know what the service is like in a weeks time

Further Report: Its not looking good ,They werent entirley truthful on the phone .I was told it would take 7-10 days to have the BB connected. They are now saying it will be the end of the month .They also did a credit check on the phone which was fine .Now they want me to send them a copy of my BT bill as they say they cant find me on 192 ( I am not on there as I asked not to be listed) .I have also been told a few lies , so shall wait and see if the promises they made pan out .Customer service so far 2/10:mad:

My Primus connection is at the moment going through OK I recieved a letter telling me BB situation and all the user/passwords I need when connecting in the future and I will be getting my modem and CD with installation instructions also my email address.
I called them up about the Option 2 saver and will be transferred on 1st July thats OK by me I also have wrote a cancellation letter to Tesco so that the CPS can be changed (its in their T&C's).
Fingers crossed all will go smoothly.
What I can say is that when I have phoned them up they answer quickly and they tried to find the info for me, remember its an 0800 number as well.
I am going with the Option 2 and 2 meg BB for 18 months at £15.99 (rebated from 22.99).
Hope this has been useful and can keep you informed how it goes and what the service is like if you want?

Well it is looking OK so far. Have received confirmation letters for BB & Freetalk. Awaiting equipment, codes etc.
Given notice to Fast 4 (dial-up) and they were very good about it. Primus say it will take approx. 14 days, this means I will be without an ISP for a few days as my account with Fast 4 will cease on 25th. I can use my emergency back-up (https://www.aardvaak.net) which is free but on an 0845 dial-up, or another thread someone has recommended : https://www.opensurf.com With this company you can get 3 days dial-up for £1.50 dearer than Fast 4 obviously but OK for the short term and cprobably cheaper than 0845 connections.
