Yesterday's Sunday Times Money section headline read "Cost of Broadband Internet Set to Plummet".
It said a broadband price war is about to break out. It advised people of being shy of signing up to longterm deals though (there are *penalties* for early exit on some deals!).
The best article I could find on the price war is this one from This Is Money
I think Martin should be keeping a close watch on this topic!0 -
It would be very nice to see some kind of price war break out but hopefully
not at the expense of poor customer service.0 -
Martin is keeping an eye on the recent offers of bb from TalkTalk/CFW and of course anything that comes out subsequently.
Primus is already well known to users of MSE as it is flagged by Martin in his home phones article as the cheapest CPS at the moment.0 -

It has plenty of product names in 15 or 20 countries. Nobody is forcing you to be interested in it, but if you are that sceptical then forget it0 -

Thats fair enough, Ive just never heard of them, but I am open to offers
so I will wait and see how good they are then may switch.

There are 332 companies from 32 countries outside the US registered on NASDAQ, there is no requirement for a company to be only US HQ'ed.
I got the Primus call yesterday, I told the caller (Graham, a very nice Scottish guy) that I'd be waiting to see how the service was reviewed before I took it up as I was aware of the Bulldog debacle. He asked if I would be using MSE to find out if it was reliable. :money:
I'm more than happy with my Primus call package, and I'd certainly think about moving over if the reviews are good.
Cheers

If anyone else gets a call, can you ask them to email you the details, so we know exactly what they are offering.0

Noticed above that it comes with a free modem, which I'm assuming is a USB modem(??) but how would this connect to my existing wireless router?
Has anyone already switched over to them and can tell me if the modem is necessary to use or can I input a username and password into my router like I do at the moment?
