You know what, I would love to make an appointment to be sterilised but the NHS won't hear of it! And we are planning a very expensive holiday next year and I don't want to eat into that fund to go private
You need to be mature about this, if it turns out that he does want children then you need to walk away rather than have an unwanted baby. It must be a time where you need to think about the needs of a baby rather than yourself. Walk away from the relationship and let him father a child with someone that will love and provide for the child rather than yourself that would want to be uninvolved. It may be hard for you to loose your partner but it would be more detramental (sp?) to the child to have you as its mother.

A few years? I think last time I heard it was a lot longer than that and you will have to go through councellign etc before the NHS will let you do it "on them"... not even sure if they will do it if there isn't a medical reason. You might have to actually take responcibility for yourself and pay and have one less holiday...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

My GP and a friend who is a GP reckon that because I have been badgering the NHS about it since I was 20, I have a better chance of having it done earlier. I don't know...
I will just have to continue with the Pill until such a time! Unless my OH replaces my pills with tic tacs.... :rolleyes:0 -
As my blood pressure is already raised thanks to this thread I'm going to go and look at my gorgeous baby girl, hold her close and be grateful she has TWO parents who love her and always will...
OP... grow up, get real and stop beign so selfish or children won't be the reason your OH leaves you one day...
IF you are not a troll then I seriously hope you take precautions to not get pregnant again and that you get a reality check from this thread if nothing else. Until today I didn't realise that some people could be that selfish and selfcentred... amazing.
Good luck with your life and your relationship - I suspect as you both grow up you might need it...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

When did I say you had?? as all people who have read the FAQ and rules and regular users of MSE know - if you feel a thread is in the wrong place or going off topic you report it to abuse - Abuse is the PAID MSE staff who can move, delete, close threads - BGs are volunteers and although we can move threads we don't work for MSE and therefor because I have voiced a very strong oppnion on this board I have no intention of movign it or closing it etc because that would be very biased of me and no doubt I'd only be doing so to have the last word
Thus... like ANY post and thread - if anyone feels it's off topic etc they need to report it - or indeed if a posts was actually abusiveDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

I see! I didn't know what you meant by 'report it to abuse'.0 -

Before I dash - hate to squash your hopes - a friend of mine who also didn't want children and actually had a medical condition causing her extreem pain whoch could only be "fixed" with a total hysterectomy was still trying to get the NHS to let her have one in her 30s... she'd been trying to get one since her late teens...
And tictacs look nothing like the pillcan I suggest asking your GP about the Depo or the implant? Obviously you slipped once or you wouldn't have had to have a termination. Best for you and everyone if that didn't happen again... It's not good for your body either nor your mental health to go through a termination and certainly not several times potentially...
With the implant you wouldn't have to worry for 12 months...DFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Hmm...well you know they're not entirely foolproof from your experience last year.
Anyway, I too will leave this incredibly emotive thread. My feeling is that the OP has some unresolved issues that are making her words and train of thought come across as somewhat extreme. Maybe she will change her mind about kids, maybe she won't, maybe she'll have no option...who knows? I wish her peace, though and hope that posting on here has been of some therapeutic use.0
