Yep - I'm here too - checking in to see how mortgagefree is feeling...

I'm guessing mortgagefree that you'll be back here Monday to say how it went....hope it went okay. i guess right now - you're probably still feeling tired and upset - whatever the day has been like.

So - we'll see you here when you've had a chance for a few "deep breaths"...take care.

Another lurker who is rooting for you.

You've done more than I ever did for my manipulative mother - I don't have any contact with my mother, so really, you've been an angel:A

I feel maybe this parting of the ways might be a way for you to rebuild your relationship - OK so your mother is horrendous, but it is plain you lover her and care about her because she is your Mum, and you are deeply saddened by the way thinga turned out. Yes, they were your mother's fault and you do seem to feel guilty even when it's not your fault. That's life with a manipulator for you, though!

Maybe when you're not under the same roof some bridges will be built when she looks back and sees how much you did for her?

Hopefully your Uncle's sense of smell won't be as keen as everyone else's and they can life happy as pigs in filth together.:p

Good Luck - hope it all went fine today - this is the first day of the rest of your life, and of your kids also - hope it is sunny and wonderful the way you deserve it to be!

I am just starting to get the "funny feeling" that things havent gone quite according to plan here....I hope I'm wrong....well me and BelfastGirl (as she also thought things may not go smoothly).

Mortgagefree - I DO hope this HAS worked out smoothly....we're all wondering whether it has/hoping it has.....but it may just be that she has "wrung you out" at the end with the "Big Leaving Scene" and you're still too "shattered" to come back and say how it went...

    Hope it went okay....
