it's not picking the DNS servers up from the Belkin router.
Try going back in and manually changing them to 192.168.2.1 and ipconfig'ing again.0 -
input the dns servers manually to yor connection instead of automatically,
put those ips in above.
so
computer ip can be 192.168.2.x
subnet 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.2.1
dns1 195.121.1.34
dns2 195.121.1.66
dont use any of the windows ics rubbish.Waddle you do eh?0 -

noooo, dns needs to be the routers IP as the router is the DNS server.0 -
I changed them from obtain automatically to use the following.
It let me put what you said in preferred DNS server but would not let me repeat it in Alternate if that matters.
Tried internet but still nothing. Ipconfig /all does bring up numbers as above0 -
Do these still not work, while you are plugged into the router directly?
http://69.10.152.196
ping -t 69.10.152.196
(using the ip address, doesn't use dns)Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
sorry but that incorrect, the dns does not have to be of the router,
if the router is having problems with dns (just like mines, it does not auto update of dns)
then the manual way works fine and ive done it to all my networks computers (5 of them).Waddle you do eh?0 -

not sure if you've read through the entire thread but HH is having problems after running his laptop through a local network and ICS. The DNS server addresses aren't being pulled from the router but seemingly from the other machine / Acatel modem (i think).
I'm running a Belkin router myself and the DNS servers are the same as the default gateway.
As it seems to be picking up info from the old network and transfering to 10.0.0.138 to try and access the net.0
