Okies thanks mate...So when my phone arrives, call o2 customer services and ask them if i can use my free minutes?

If the contract isnt activated you pay for any calls you make, even if your tarrif says x off peak mins etc until it IS activated?

Oh and 0844 is included with free minutes to national landlines and o2 mobiles? Or is it just for crossnetwork and will i be charged?

The 0844, 0845, 0870 numbers all count as landline minutes, rather than x network minutes, so if you're using leisuretime plus with 1000 minutes, then you can use all those 1000 minutes during the evening and weekends to call abroad, or call customer services line (where saynoto0870 can't find a better number to call)

Only 07744 counted as x network minutes.

I'm pretty sure 0844 counts as landline and 0845 & 0870 count as xnet.

Nope, 0844, 0845 and 0870 are all considered fixed line calls if they're included in your monthly allowance.

10 mins before receive someone call from O2 executive office. THey mention because 07744 and 07755 cost them too much so they need to introduce a new charge from 1/7. He say only 0.12% customer dial this number so there are not much impact he say????

Well, 07744 and 07755 *are* costing O2 quite a lot, in two ways; one is Simply-Fone and Co. are possibly increasing charges to connect to their numbers, and the other is all the possible revenue O2 would have received if we'd chosen to use their expensive (even with ITS) international calling instead.

On another hand, there is a small chance that they might waive this if enough 07744/07755 users get wind of this charge and walk on their contracts becasue of it... based on what I saw happen with Orange anyway (but they were slightly different; no notice at all and surprise charges).

At least O2 still allow you to access 0844/0845/0870 and you dont have to have x-network minutes to call them, only 01/02 landline minutes, unlike 07744 which you need x-net minutes. So the fact that 0870 numbers are now being issued to cover more destinations that were previously covered by 07744 numbers EG India , surely makes O2 still the best choice for those using Intl dial through services.Another bonus is that if you have only got,O2 own network and 01/02 landline minutes. You can

1.Make UK crossnetwork mobile calls out of those minutes using the 0844 439 00 03 access number on https://www.phonecheap.co.uk

    2. Use the https://www.pre-dial.com o2 access number 07730 666 890 to certain Intl destinations at E&W. Click on free destination list for details.
