This applies to offline customers as well, but as with the June date, I doubt we'll be getting written notice.0

            Hello guys.
If i have got o2 Leisure time plus( 1000 off peak minutes to landlines and other o2 mobiles), could i use 0844 number off peak and say dial usa/india and not pay a thing, and the minutes i used here would come out of my allowance?
Can someone give me a good 0844 site, thanks..0

ok just to confirm...say i recieve my mobile on wednesday, on 02 leisure time plus(1000mins off peak to o2 and national landlines), the same day, i could dial best minutes 0844 number during offpeak and call usa for free(comes from my allowance)
Or do i have to wait a certain period of time for my contract to become active?
 thanks0

It's pot luck as to when O2 activate your contract.
Once I got a new phone, and made calls from the allowance almost immediately, only to find they activated my contract start date almost a month later, and I got billed separately for my calls made before the first bill. After calling customer services, I managed to get this reversed.
On 2 other times, the contract was activated on the connection day, and I received a bill a few days later, so I was able to make the calls for that month.
And quite recently, I got a new phone via e2save, and the contract was activated on the connection day. However without wanting to fall foul and go through the hassle, I waited until the bill came. After it hadn't arrived, I called customer services who said the bill is on the way, but I've had an unused allowance (which isn't carried over), and pro rata line rental for about a week, along with a full months allowance.
Seems like O2 change the rules and it's pot luck as to if you can use your allowances. I think the best way might be to call up customer services.0
