I don't even think I got a 6 week check for me?!! I remember getting my height taken and that's about it. Is that with a health visitor? Cause I never seen a midwife at 6weeks, I got a letter about a smear, which I threw in the bin.

I got a smear at the hospital about 2weeks after I had DD, as had to go back in, I believe the sample wasn't good though, I really should go for another but the woman who did it had a cold and sneezed as she clamped me, bear in mind my womb was already knackered from the infection. I was crying my eyeballs out. EVILS I TELL YA!

They ask if your stitches are doing if you had any, how you feel, how everything is going and I think it's mainly to make sure you're not suffering terribly with PND... but honest? I can't remember! I know I asked the doc to look at my stitches as I didn't think they were healing properly lol Wouldn't be too bad but he's a darned cute chap about my age and I was still bleeding! oh well...
But mainly I think it's to discuss future family planning methods :) ie pill/coil/DEPO etc
It's funny, everyone seems to say it's about contraception but it was never mentioned at mine. Mine was with the nurse and then she just got the doctor to come to check my uterus had contracted back down. Evidently very few people breastfeed round here as he asked me if I'd had a period and whwen I said no he saud, "Oh, are you breastfeeding?" in a very suprised voice.

Aimee's still asleep, an absolute rareity past 7am! I had a crappy nights sleep, one of those nights where you just keep waking up, even though Caitlyn slept through for about 7 1/2 hours... And to top it off she just had a really big feed.. Then threw it all back up over my pyjamas, litres of the stuff! Lying in bed on a towel now... Aimee will find it funny I've got no jammies on when she comes in, she revels in nakedness!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

hello. We are going with friends to the city farm today. I'm looking forward to it - and hope LO is as impressed as she was with the zoo. She's currently in her walker terrorising the the toys on the tray....

AF arrived yesterday. I didn't used to have much period pain and htye were always very light - now it's sooooo heavy, but thankfully not to painful. I'm hoping that's just because it's the first for a very long time! Yuck. I think that was the one good thing about being pregnant!!!! right - off to rescue LO from the walker :D

Managed to take a corking picture of the little terror: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=8272757&l=8a358c2259&id=740875462

That's a fantastic picture. I love it

My 6 weeks check up's were all quick. Just a chat with a GP asking how I felt down there, had the bleeding stopped, did I need contraception and was I depressed. I didn't get examined or anything, it was all just talking.
Here I go again on my own....

Alex slept till nearly 7 this morning... She woke up at about 6:45 which like Krystal is an unheard of event in this house!! Maybe she took pity on her old ma who went to bed last night with a humdinger of a headache... One of those where your eye feels like it's going to pop out from the pressure!
She's currently trying to make giraffes a more extinc species by chucking Raffi around and chewing on his antlers and ears bless - very cute...

Well... apparently there is a teddybears picnic in town today but with this weather I'm really not hopeful about it :(
