Embarrassing cos you haven't, or cos you have and you had to fib to the doc?
coz I haven't, well I'm not fussed about that really just I've never discussed my sex life with a doctor before, it was weird
sami, my doctor is a male and I had to tell him that !! Then he started asking about how regular I was before I got pregnant and what contraception I was going to use before I could get the implant !!
Now 9 times out of 10 this conversation wouldnt bother me, but it was a locum, he wasnt much older than me and my god I wouldnt have said no !! :)
theres only this one doctor that does the 6wk checks at my place, i think its because she's the most maternal one, she was cooing over Ed and her room is covered in photos of and paintings by her kids :D she's my 2nd choice GP when I make an appointment, I don't think I've ever seen a male doc here wouldn't know them if I tripped over them :p

oh the surgery looks so depressing because of swine flu all the toys, books, mags etc have been put away and theres alcohol rub every where with signs warning you of swine flu :(

Sami I have deleted everyone from my Facebook - I decided that I wanted/needed to keep my real life apart from my MSE life if that makes any sense? And if it makes you feel any better I actually deleted over 50 people and I'm trying to work out who else to "cull"... over 200 contacts? WAAAAAY too many :)

"and how do you feel MrsT?"

They ask if your stitches are doing if you had any, how you feel, how everything is going and I think it's mainly to make sure you're not suffering terribly with PND... but honest? I can't remember! I know I asked the doc to look at my stitches as I didn't think they were healing properly lol Wouldn't be too bad but he's a darned cute chap about my age and I was still bleeding! oh well...
But mainly I think it's to discuss future family planning methods :) ie pill/coil/DEPO etc

Me: weighed, BP taken, asked if delivery was straight forward, did I have stitches/does everything down there work/feel ok, do I feel depressed and then asked about contraception.
Ed: weighed, hips, eyes, skull, testes checked, heart listened to.
    :D
