Have you read Martin's latest article about tax credits? it say sthat if you told them things changed but they ignored you and overpaid you get to keep it (after an annoying and probably very frustrating procedure)

They classed that claim as "fraud" though, because I apparently didn't say OH was living with me (but then why would I phone up to tell them he had got a job?) The thing is, because he had been laid off from his job at that point, so It's not like they were actually overpaying me, it turns out, I would of been getting an extra £10 a week or so, if they had done the forms properly.

I was 19 at the time, just moved into my own house, had no clue about anything tbh, my mum did all the forms and child benefit for me the first time around.

I think using a bit of discretion with them would be a plus, like do they honestly think it's fraud when I'm the one telling them? LOL, I begrudge that £2600 I had to pay back *cry cry*

I've not caught up with anything since earlier (might go back later if I get time!) but I just wanted to say I had a brainwave that I wanted to share with you. After talking about our rubbish presents for the baby, I decided I need to get all these toiletries out of my house, so I called our local womens refuge, and have given them a massive bag of stuff. I ran around the house and added in a few other bits too, so they have a few "mummy" toiletries too, a box of bottles which I've never opened, and a few bits she has grown out of. So yes, that is my good deed for the day.

They also will find a good home for our old living room furniture, which I was going to put on freecycle, but now I can just call them when we've finished sorting everything out, and organise if they want me to bring it somewhere or if they will fetch it. They have to be really careful, so I had to meet them outside a pub to hand the bag over, which made me feel like I was in a gangster film or something ;) But they said they knew exactly who to give it to, and it is going to someone who has absolutely nothing, so I'm glad she will at least have some shampoo and moisturiser, and a few nice smellies for herself too :)

But yep, I found a website with the numbers of local womens refuge places here. So I have a challenge for the rest of you - go collect up all your unwanted presents or a bag of grown-out-of stuff (and maybe something that doesn't fit YOU anymore too?!!! ;)) and then give your local centre a call and see if they can find a good home for them. God, I feel like I'm on blue peter!

In less virtuous news, I had an e-mail from Bizzie Baby asking if we use sleepingbags or dummies (answer is yes and no), so hopefuly we will have something to test soon :)

I hope everyone else is having a good afternoon. Must feed this baby, was so busy being an angel I only just noticed what the time was .

Its a hard one SM, I think at some point or another we have all had a friend like that...Your never going to be sure what the 'right' thing is to do. I have a friend - she was my best friend and her OH was shall we say taking the pi$$ I gently pointed it out and although she knew it was true she loved him, was happy and didnt want to hear it! Now I havnt seen my 'best' friend for months! On the other hand my MIL Yes my mother in law was seeing a guy and he was taking her for a ride and that was gently pointed out to her and she honestly hadnt seen it only when someone pointed the things out and was sooo grateful!
Hope you manage to sort her out or just be there for her when she see's it for herself! xx

AM it could be either or to be honest, mine have been all over the place and it took ages to get into a regular pattern after Joshua. I dont mean to be rude either but you have just had alot of stress to deal with ...your OH and stuff so that could be affecting it too! Hope your ok xx

 Grrrr... rant coming up!

I'm seriously fed up now.. Because the builder didn't sort himself out and put the building regs application in on Monday (like he told me he had) and only did it today, they've now got as far as they can go before it needs inspecting and it can't be done until Tuesday... so they've f'd off home! He's supposed to work 9-4 and did 10-3 today.. There are still loads of jobs he could have stayed to do, including putting the shower screen up so we can have showers and not just baths.

They can't/won't order the window until the base is built and if they're not going to start building again until Tuesday it's doubtful we'll even have a window in by next weekend! We can't (but looks like we're going to have to!) live in a house with a hole the size of a garage door in the front of it, just boarded up with hardboard. We don't live in a really bad area but I feel like I can't go out without everything being more secure - only times I've been out this week have been when the builders were "keeping guard" on the house.

To add to all that, Rhys has been grouchy all day and I've only just been able to peel him off me and changed my top so I at least look half alive for when OH gets home.. and Rhys has just thrown up all over me, just in the right place to get my top, my vest top and my bra - bloody lovely!

*sigh* Someone pass the biscuits.. :o

Well I *think* Keira will go to the toilet, she just started whinging on for a nappy - which tends to mean 1 thing! I told her there wasn't any and she could either go to the toilet like a big girl or poop in her shoes, after muttering on and yelping for about 5minutes, she sat on the toilet, had a wee, and a couple of farts, we sang songs and read a story, and she was shouting down the loo "COME ON POOPY, COME OUT!" I guess she doesn't need quite yet, but looks promising!
