Don't know if anyone remembers about my childminder wanting a retainer from September to April? Well I phoned tax credits the other day to tell them about Caitlyn so I asked them about it, and when I have to start paying the £30 a week, I'll get an extra £21 a week in TC so it'll only really cost me £9 per week which makes me feel a bit better about it.
all that talk of ages / lengths of relationships: I am still thread granny! :rotfl: Known DH since we were 7 or so, although he didn't really make an impression on me until we were in the 6th form (and it wasn't a good impression!) Occasionally saw each other through University, wrote letters (on paper, with a pen! none of this email, texting and msn in those days!) for quite a while after that, then I moved closer to where he was living. Engaged 3 months, married 27 years ...
And no, the boys aren't the complete fulfilment of my life. Truly I sometimes wonder if I should have had them. But I don't know what we'd do without them!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Hope things get better with your builder Elle, I hate having workmen in unless OH is around as he doesn't take any carp! X
Caz, if you have a problem with the Electric company you should consider letting Citizens Advice deal with it for you, they tend to listen to them more, hope you sort it. X
AM, my periods were all over the place after each birth for a few months.
Oh and Tax Credits do take Private Health Care as income and they need the total on your P11D which also includes our car and diesel, this is included as income for assessment and in our case give us a minus tax code!
I'm having a weird time at the mo, really feeling down about how the birth went with not getting my HB and very cross with myself for letting the doctors interfere. Anyone else felt like this, feel stoopid as it keeps making me cry, what a wally!!!Too many children, too little time!!!0 -
tara, don't feel down on yourself huni. You did what you needed to do, just remember the pain you were in leading up to the birth !!! There was no way you could have allowed yourself to have continued on your own for god knows how long.
You are a great mum, doing a great job, and you mustnt tell yourself off for anything !!
((hugs)) to you darling, Feel free to rant on here or just talk if you want toThe two best things I have done with my life

The potty we are testing is on Kiddicare for £9 - I think its pants compared to the £3ish one we already have
Savvy - Don't worry Midsomer will be repeated about a million times. I think I've seen ever single episode there has been about 3 times! I first started watching them while on ML 3yrs ago and they re run them every autumn/winter season at about 3pm I know whodunnit in them all! :rotfl:0 -

My plan was always to go back 18.75hrs a week - half of my old hours. Basically would be job share, two days one week, three days the next. It was agreed in principal, but obviously needs to be sorted out officially with flexible working rules and all that.
After DS and DD, i was quite happy to go back to work - but i'm feeling the complete opposite this time!
I've got another option to ponder now - along with the other million running around my head!
If..........OH gets his new job, it'll be a January start. His wage on the new job, even for the first year of probation, with be near enough the same has his and my wages now!
I may be able to take a career break from work (up to 5 years) - so although i'll still be employed, I won't actually get paid.
Then after the career break, i'm entitled to go back on my usual terms (part-time and term-time). Unless, as we suspect, i'm be made redundant before too long so i'd still be entitled to my redundancy pay!My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I am getting a breastfeeding dress!
I never wear bl00dy dresses and this will be the 2nd bf dress I have had to test :rotfl:
It is actually quite nice though...organic cotton
I would have preferred sleeping bags and dummies though!
Huh! Where's mine? Maybe my report on the other two wasn't good enough! :rolleyes2Buttonmoons wrote: »I'm sure the hair will go eventually, maybe during puberty? Hehe.
I had armpit hair at 9 mind, so who knows!
She's definately got her hairyness/colouring from her father. He's quite dark, in fact his Dad, DD's grandad is known as Tommy The Greek to friends!
I'm proud to say i never got any armpit hair! Ever!My friends think i'm a bit of a freak!

If it's any consolation, I've had three babies and none of my births have gone to plan! I still feel a bit cross and upset with some bits, but then think I've got three lovely bairns and no harm has been done to them and I should be grateful for what I have. It will take time, but the memories will fade and it'll become easier to think about.
I work part time and I enjoy it. It's nice getting out and having adult conversations and not having to worry about nappy changes and stuff. I go through phases though when I think I'd love to be a stay at home Mam, but then I love the buzz of working and achieving things. I think part time works best for me, so I can do some work stuff, but still get plenty of time at home. Here I go again on my own....0
