If I ever get it in a state of something resembling tidy, I'll take them!

Thankyou everyone else.. I'm waiting for OH to get home, then I'm going out to the retail park to get big storage boxes. Am going to at least start sorting all the crap into properly labelled boxes so that'll keep me busy.

In slightly more cheerful and money related news, I've had an email from work - they've agreed to pay up all the holiday I'd booked but not used (14 days) due to leaving earlier than planned. Normally they would pay it all up at the end of mat leave but I asked my colleague and she's asked the boss (coincidentially, her hubby ;)) and he's agreed to pay it next month :)

Am I the only one then who doesn't get that "this is what I was meant to do with my life" feeling??? :confusing:
Don't get me wrong I love and adore Alexandra (especially when she's sleeping like is is right now :rotfl:) but I am very much still "me" and I still have ambitions for my professional life that I want to acchieve... Alexandra is always going to be the most important thing in my life, but I just don't get that "Now my life has meaning" feeling... It always had meaning and I don't feel any different about that now

Oh probably just me being extreemly odd again :)

Tine, no, you're not the only one.

I'm not sure I feel like I have much to achieve work wise - still haven't really worked out what I actually want to do with my career.. I think I might be doing it, but only because I've fallen into it, not by design! - but I know I don't "just" want to be a mum..

I do still want to go back to work, always did. Hopefully it won't be harder with Rhys being poorly, but I really don't think I want to stay at home permanently.. I still need the buzz and adult conversation of work. Missed it when I was there yesterday - was itching to dive in and help out, although it probably helped that Rhys was there with me and I wasn't dealing with separation issues too.

I jokingly offered to do one of my KIT days to help sort out the mess they've all gonna themselves into since I left (neglecting their own work to try to train the newbie in a job [mine] they don't actually know a lot about!), and they're thinking of taking me up on the idea..

My plan was always to go back 18.75hrs a week - half of my old hours. Basically would be job share, two days one week, three days the next. It was agreed in principal, but obviously needs to be sorted out officially with flexible working rules and all that.

ok i need some advise, how do you tell the difference between an energetic child and a seriously hyperactive child? also what do you do? The past few weeks people have commented on how hyper charlie is and tonight my friend was in and asked if we had thought about getting him checked out? he is wild and hard work but he has always been like this?
Sometimes I don't think you can tell the difference. What you do is probably what you are doing already: make sure there's no evil additives in their diet (especially some of the colourings and artificial sweeteners), try to keep boundaries and consistency, get them out in the fresh air every day!

Rather than random googling, you could try Addis?

The food is trickiest. They're going to transport our stuff from carpark to cottage by golfcart, so I'm insistent that the food is packaged up well not just in sprawly carrier bags. DH thinks this is daft. What do you guys reckon?
I'm with you: I hate taking multiple carrier bags anywhere. But then I have 101 fabric shopping bags of all shapes and sizes so I tend to use them!

  • In less virtuous news, I had an e-mail from Bizzie Baby asking if we use sleepingbags or dummies (answer is yes and no), so hopefuly we will have something to test soon :)

I am getting a breastfeeding dress!

I never wear bl00dy dresses and this will be the 2nd bf dress I have had to test :rotfl:

It is actually quite nice though...organic cotton :)

I would have preferred sleeping bags and dummies though!
