I think its a bit less than £3k as I havent received any money off them in over a year and a half as I guessed my income wrong by about £2k 2 years in a row. Also if you estimate yourself under the threshold of basic but end up earning over it, even if that is only a couple of hundred pounds then you will have to pay back all overpayments from future payments.
What I was talking about was the difference between current and previous year's income - I imagine it's different if they've based on an estimate. (Otherwise you could just "estimate" your income to be loads less than it was in order to get extra money.)
Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.

I'm sure the hair will go eventually, maybe during puberty? Hehe.

I had armpit hair at 9 mind, so who knows!

Tax credits - I loathe. I hate seeing those massive HMRC forms coming through the letterbox. They done one over on me and made me pay back a whole years payments, which was over 2k I believe. They said I was claiming as a single parent, which I was when I didn't live with OH, and when we got a flat together, I phoned them up and told them my change of address AND that he lived with me. I mean, If I was frauding them, why would I phone up later and say Oh he has a job now, you'll need to alter X Y and Z. Obviously they had no record of MY CALL saying he lived with me. Funny that.

I get about £10 a week from them, but I'm on the verge of just cancelling it all together, had a carry on a few weeks back with them demanding OH's P11D or something? Because apparently his private health care that he has at work classes as income, I don't see why it should as It's not like I can pay the rent with it!

AM - I totally understand not wanting to go clubbing (hold no interest for me either...) but BINGO???? I used to get dragged along by my ex's mum as company when her husband would pretend to be feeling poorly to not have to go (sly old fox!) - I couldn't imagine a less interesting evening
I'd rather do something fun like go to the cinema or out for a meal with some girlfriends etc :)

The thought of Bingo is sending shudders down my spine :rotfl:
Each to their own, we have a right laugh when we go bingo.
We have a drink, nibbles sometimes a meal, and sometimes win money, I'd rather that than go cinema and get robbed blind
I swear my last cinema trip sent me into labour.
    £23 for 2 tickets, 2 drinks and 1 bag of popcorn :eek::eek::eek:

Have you read Martin's latest article about tax credits? it say sthat if you told them things changed but they ignored you and overpaid you get to keep it (after an annoying and probably very frustrating procedure)

In my personal experience it will make not one blind bit of difference, she probably knows deep down she is.
My neighbours fella spends a very large proportion of their weekly money on weed (I have no problem with people smoking weed, used to smoke it myself, but not to the point where you cant even afford to pay your bills) and drink.
They have 3 children (twins) and are both on social, I calculated that they must get cash in their hand at the least £250 a week, thats with no rent or council tax to pay, yet they are always poncing something or other.
She never used to be like that, her house was always full of food, her sons clothes were always nice and new but now he lives off handouts (not that thats a bad thing just pointing out the difference)
I dont bother saying anything to her anymore as I feel she gets resenful and then ends up pointing out my relationship flaws.

oooo i know this one... yes it's possible especially if your BFing?
BUT if you think there is a chance you're pregnant you need to test... I take it you haven't been that carefull with taking care as you're asking? If so... I'd test if I were you...
