right let say that u get 400 mins for 30 quid a month.
u have just handed in the notice therefore ur 30 days starts today so that ur contract expires 28 aug.
on the 5 aug u r gonna pay for any additional call u have made in july plus 30 quid for the period 6 aug - 5 september and u will get an allowance of 400 mins.
however as ur contract expires on the aug 28 there are 7 days which ur going to get a refund for i.e. 8 quid or so. u have all 400 mins to use up until aug 28.
if u however use ur PAC the sim will be disabled as soon as u use it causing u to loose any unused minutes although u would still pay the line rental up to aug 28

well i woke this morning and phone was still activated so i rang them just to confirm it being disconnected today and the lady said its just going through as we speak . 5 mins later my phone is now disconnected0

yes that's right however if i were you i would not cut it too fine as ur new provider has to use the pac in order for the cancelation to go through. if they dont use it before the 28th Aug ur contract with orange will go for another month.
i reckon do it a week in advance...it should not be too costly0 -
Hi am new to this forum.
Have been wanting to cancel my contract with orange but dont have the code yet, would i be better waiting till i get the txt??
Also am only 4 months into my contract with mobiles.co.uk if i did cancel would i need to send them my mobile back? Surley not as its diffrent terms and conditions from when i took my contract out.
Any info on this would be appreciated thatks.
I would also like someone to please shed some light on the above post. I've almost completed the min. 9 months requirement in mobiles.co.uk T&C. Can I just cancel a day after 9 months term is over? Any help/suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks.0 -
Just phoned up again, make sure you ask for a PAC code, not a new sim card to be sent out with your number on, as that takes 30 days, in which after that you will not be eligible. Make sure you get a PAC code posted out, and transfer within a week elsewhere

Well ive rung them twice this morning. Apparently since I have not recieved the text message im not eligible to cancel. Despite me quoting section 16.1 of the terms.
Looks like I will have to ring after lunch an hope I get through to someone who isnt an arsy sod0 -

2 people told me the exact same thing yesterday even tho i quoted 16.1
but i did get the guy to confirm it will affect my accountThere is a Money Saving Expert quidclan, next time your on quidco have a look for it0 -
