If i was to call Orange and have my account re-instated would this mean that i am agreeing to the new price changes or could i call the next day and give them 5 months early notice because of the price change...not sure what to do as it seems mobiles.co.uk have a right to request money from me
This is the response I got when I emailed mobiles.co.uk
"Hello,
The Term and Conditions state that you will have to return your handset after 9 months if the tariff that you originally took out has been lowered or the length of the contract has been lowered so basically not full filling the contract that you have taken out you will have to return the pone after 9 months."
Baffled by the response completely.0 -

Cancellation under Distance Selling Regulations ...Top
If you are a consumer, in addition to the benefit of our returns policy you also have certain cancellation rights under Distance Selling laws and paragraph 10 applies.
Should you wish to cancel your contract then you may do so by sending us written notice before we have accepted or despatched your order or by sending us written notice no later than 7 working days after receiving the phone.
However, where there is an associated airtime agreement (i.e. it is not a handset only phone) you will not be able to cancel your agreement once you have started to use the phone.
If you cancel your agreement before you have received the goods but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you.
If you cancel your agreement after receipt of the goods, once you have cancelled you must not use the goods and you must keep them in their original packaging.
You must take reasonable care of the goods.
If you cancel, you must return the goods to us at your own risk and cost. You should follow the Returns Procedure enclosed with your phone.
Once you have notified us of your cancellation then any sums paid by you will be reimbursed within 30 days (other than our costs if we have to recover the goods from you). If you cancel under this paragraph and have not returned the goods to us within 7 working days of cancellation or when requested, you must make the goods available for collection by us at your cost. We can recover the costs of recovering the goods from you if you do not return them to us.

i have just received this text message this morning, could be the answer to my prayers... ive been tied into an 18 month contract with orange that doesnt expire until november the 9th.
Ive been unhappy that i dont get inclusive mobile internet or that the last phone i got ( a nokia n82) has been in for repair three times since i got it.
Also i have orange broadband with them and my livebox has stopped working, so i spent an hour and a half on the phone to an indian call centre the night before last getting increasingly stressed out.. i just want shot of orange now.
the thing is who to go to? and what phone to get, i like the iphone but im not convinced by its functionality or price.. i have an ipod touch and find emails and texts hard work on the keyboard.. but the internet browsing is good.
im currently on dolphin 35 unlimited texts and 600 minutes, any advice gratefully received!Mortgage free wannabe!:
