is there still any way to cancel?
No, there isn't, if you're so desperate to cancel why don't you pay them £300+0 -
My bill said
Adjustments (non-VAT applicable) Voluntary termination : :03 Aug £607.71
Spent about 15mins on the phone, where shes confirmed its an error or there part and they will send me a new bill out in next few days.
I'm due to go on holiday in a couple of days, if this came while i was away it would of come out of my account and left me right in the ****!!!!.
Oh and i had to call a premium rate number to call them due to me not being on orange, when my phone bill comes they are getting billed for that.
Either one of these would have done it.....

You got out of paying £600 for the remainder of your contract (even with their top £75 p/m plan you got out of 8 month early) and I'm sure you kept the phone:rolleyes:.
15 mins of your time ain't that bad.
Have a nice holiday and chill:beer:0 -
Got my bill from orange today, i cancelled about three weeks ago ported my number last week to o2, i am on a £40 p/m contract and they have only charged me £18 it does not say final bill anywhere, this is very confusing, not sure what is going on now:cool:0

Thank you very much. The amount of people who talk to us like dirt and assume we're on minimum wage absolutely astounds me!
If you did leave the network due to the T+C's (that didn't happen) then I wish you all the very best with your new chosen operator.
When I rang and asked about cancelling the bloke I spoke to got all hostile with me from the off. I didn't speak to him like dirt so I hung up and tried again, got another rude one straight off, I presume this is because I wanted to leave to they talked to ME like dirt so I hung up again! I rang a 3rd time and finally got a human being sort of, he made out he knew nothing about the changes (that are no longer happening), I very nicely asked to speak to retentions but he refused. I said so you won't let me speak to them because what, he said because you haven't had a text, I said what's having a text go to do with me wanting to speak to them, he said um, errrr, um, hold on I'll put you through.
So, it seems unless you want to spend more money with most companies they will treat you like dirt if you have a complaint!0 -
can we still cancel contracts due to this, orange are being awkward with me as im trying to up grade and stay a customer, im almost due an upgrade but they seem happy for me to leave as they dont want to give me a phone for free but i can get this deal on orange else where, they are total idiots with there long term customers
if i can cancel i will be well happy0 -

I rang orange today. They said I received a text on the 18th June and only had 30 days within that time to disconnect. Apparently now it doesn't matter anyway because they are not increasing call charges so I can't leave as I still have 12months on my contract. Anyone know if this is true?0
