the changes aren't happening so the above poster's experiences can't have happened in the last week or so. if you haven't cancelled you can't it seems.0

Hi, sorry was getting carried away- This sum is for 2 contracts and is for automatic cashback plus quidco referal cashback. Have a look at Buymobiles.net, I have used them for years and never had a problem. These contracts are for my son and daughter and as such I just wanted basic phones ( 6300/6303). The amount of cashback is greatly reduced if you go for a really expensive phone or a low line rental tariff.0

Hi, also managed to cancel 2 contracts with 13 months left on both. Numbers were ported out and everything went smoothly. When the second phone switched over, full access to my account stopped, however I can still access the 'bills' section. They refunded some line rental etc but charged me £15 to port. Seeing as I not been charged the £780 for the remaining line rental I cannot be bothered to chase them for the £15. I am just glad to be out . I have 2 new 18 month contracts with £580 of automatic cashbacks.
Hi, On page 2 of the letter you should of had it states
" if you port your number before the 30 days notice has expired you will be charged the remainder of this notice charge. This will appear as a "PAC debit" and is calculated by multiplying your daily rental by the number of days left...."
Basically it's the cost of the 30 day notice period you give when you use a pac code.0 -

You haven't really got a leg to stand on, there are now no changes, so no reason to cancel. They could take the hard line and stop ALL cancellations regardless of if you have had it agreed or not as there are now no grounds to cancel/no change in the T+C.....0 -
So what's the deal now? I cancelled my contract, well requested and received my PAC code. But I was waiting until nearer the end of the 30 days to transfer the number. I got the text saying phone us for great deals as we're not changing the prices now. If I cancel now can they charge me for this?
I did go back a few pages and tried a search but no joy so don't shoot me down if this has been covered 1000 times already.0 -

Did you actually cancel due to the change in T+C ?
Have they confirmed you will not be charged? or did you just ask for a pac code?
They can issue a pac code to allow you to leave, but unless they have agreed to let you go they will charge you for the remainder of the contract.
Give them a bell to confirm you won't be charged, I did and they did confirm no charges, but I will wait and see when I do actually leave........0 -

I phoned them when my PAC came through as they'd given the same PAC for both numbers on my account and I wanted to check that was correct. I asked the rep to confirm the disconnections were still free following the un-changing of t&c and was told yes they were still free. I've signed up with T-Mobile today and gave them my PACs so I won't know for sure until my final bill comes in. If it's not free, I'll be having a fight on my hands, which'll be nice.0 -
wot were u arguing over jk?
I was arguing the fact that I had requested a PAC code when I was within my rights to receive one. I was denied those rights 5 times until I got a phone call back in the evening. Read my previous posts and you'll see exactly when that was.
The girl that I spoke to said no problem. A code will be sent. That was on monday night.
I ring up wednesday and they tell me that I'm not getting a PAC code. It was never put on the system or actioned!!!!
My argument and ofcom complaint was based wholely on the fact that I had asked for disconnection but was denied. They should therefore honour what one of THEIR agents said to me.
The guy at orange higher complaints said that he didn't know what was said on that phonecall so they would have to charge me for the remainder of my contract. Hence my escalating the complaint again with ofcom.
The girl at ofcom said I was dead right and that orange should honour the fact that I had rung and asked BEFORE they changed their mind.
Basically. They didn't. But there is just no way that I was going to stay with them after being trated in such an appalling manner.
O2 business here I come. Lets see how badly they can manage my account...0 -
i dont blame you jk especially if it was before they changed their mindsWhat goes around-comes around0
