Well cancelled my contract, managed it on first call to Orange, I had received the text message. Ported Number to O2 with PAC code arriving within three days. All gone through with my final bill due from Orange after 15th. Now I wanted to be 100% sure everything was above board and I hadn't been charge cancellation fee/remainder of contract etc. But my Orange Online account has been deactivated, can't get through calling Customer Services as it doesn't recognise the number as an Orange Number when entered and entering nothing gets you cut off eventually. Dropped them an email but no response.

Now the debate, do I cancel my Direct Debit payment should go out 2nd September for £19.68ish if I have not heard back from Orange by next Friday 28th or are there any other numbers anyone knows off where I can call them?

Don't want to get hit with a £140 bill, then try and have to claim it back from them.
    Cheers
    Steve

If you cancelled before they changed their mind, your fine. All the info will already be logged on your acc.

My son pac'd out yesterday, no problems. . .
Unfortunatly I only tried yesterday, and they said no, as they have cancelled change, I tried to argue that they had already informed me by text but I only received text yesterday as I was in hospital(white Lie), no chance they say, actually quite cheeky to me

You'd get the bill first and then a few days later they'd take the ££ (if they get it wrong) so you've still got time to call them and/or cancel the DD.
  • Does anyone have an e-mail address for the ceo of orange, I just spke to a member of the retention team who refused to give me his extension number, I want to make an official complaint against him

How are you going to complain about him without his extension number?

Hi, also managed to cancel 2 contracts with 13 months left on both. Numbers were ported out and everything went smoothly. When the second phone switched over, full access to my account stopped, however I can still access the 'bills' section. They refunded some line rental etc but charged me £15 to port. Seeing as I not been charged the £780 for the remaining line rental I cannot be bothered to chase them for the £15. I am just glad to be out . I have 2 new 18 month contracts with £540 of automatic cashbacks and £40 cashback by going through Quidco.

Hi, what contracts did you take out with that amount of auto cashback?

    Thanks
  • Just a note to say keep plugging away if you have a case and want to cancel.

My first atrtempt: nice lady said no way, despite me quoting all the facts and quoting contract details. She also said she put a note on my accoutn t osay I was NOT due a refund, and tha tI had not made any 08 calls (I think I had but don't have proof).

Second attempt half an hour later: spoke to well grumpy bloke, who said no way, price changes dont affect me, they judge it on history, and when I quoted some contracual facts to him, he just said I was wasting everyones time and repeated the same line, so I thanked him and said good bye.

Third attempt, an hour later: nice woman, checked my past calls, said I had called 08 no's and was justified to cancel my contract and did so there and then.

Just to be safe, I've cancelled my DD and am awaiting a final bill.

So my advice is stay calm and try try again!

For being such a bunch of liars, they deserve to lose all this business. IMO...
