Orange Price changes ?

a lot of people where denied there right to cancel a contract and following that are still in a contract which is causing a loss of finance to that individual
I don't get you here... People signed up to a contract with Orange and now they (Orange) have scrapped the proposed changes these customers have exactly the same contract they agreed to in the first place... How is this causing them a loss of 'finance'?Someone people took out other contracts based on that Orange agreed to cancel. So now they are left with two contracts and are now suffering financially for it.
Call me cautious, but if I do decide to exercise my right to cancel you can be sure I will be double checking that I won't incur any penalties before I commit to a new contract elsewhere. To not check is somewhat foolish, especially in light of the comments on this thread how Orange CS haven't made notes on accounts when they said they would!0 -
Makes me laugh when Orange say - due to feedback we have decided not to change terms.
They mean due to pressure and the masses of people who would be leaving.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -

got this reply in response to an e-mail I sent on Saturday... Dear Samantha
Thank you for your email.
Orange recently decided to make changes to contract customers' call charges for out-of-bundle minimum call rate, international calls from the UK and pay-as-you consume data browsing.
However in listening to our customers it became clear that some of them found the messages sent to announce these changes confusing about who would be affected and how. This is obviously not our intention and therefore we have decided not to go ahead with the proposed changes.
It is normal practice for businesses to make pricing changes, and whilst we clearly cannot rule out any future changes we know that transparency and consistency in our policies is extremely important to our customers. Orange apologises to those customers who found the messages unclear and any subsequent misunderstanding this has caused. We will be reviewing all policies and procedures for price changes to make sure that they are clearer in future.
Orange always strives to deliver the best communications and we hope that these steps will overcome any confusion and frustration that our customers felt

Ah well, since I am one of the lucky ones, who got a brand new HTC Hero + unlimted I-net last thursday, I am happily looking forward to a more transparant and open price change.
I think, it wont take Orange too long, to chnage the prices and I am looking forward to yet another new phone0 -

Just to let people know I rang Orange last night as not recieved my PAC code, the guy text it to me and said the only way I can leave orange is by porting the number away from the. If I dont do this within 30 days I will be pulled back into the contract on the new T&C's0

i rang last night, was told that my pac is on its way but as the 2 CS I spoke to hadn't put a reason on my account (i.e. hadn't stated that the reason i was cancelling was coz of the change in t&c) that i would be charged for the remainder of my contract
I had to argue with him that surely if i was cancelling early there would also be notes to say that i had accepted Xmonths line rental to pay...and that 2 it was ridiculous that 2 people had coincidentally failed to put notes on...he had to go back to this team leader twice but i eventually got the PAC by text and an agreement of no charge.
I now await my final bill...Wondering how to have a life & not rack up more debts...0
