Yes. They withdrew the proposed changes. So anyone who wants to cancel under the new terms and conditions cant as they are no longer being changed.
But the customers who were denied the right to cancel before Orange's press release on the 12th I suspect will still have a case to cancel.
We are waiting for Ofcom or CISA or BBC Watchdog to say something on the matter. Or you know Orange....but I think they need to find funds for new law books first.0 -

Oh no, that's really going to upset some people now. Thanks for the heads up :rotfl:0 -
Just called to check with orange and was told that as i already had my PAC code then my d/c stands as it was on the 4th August when i called them originally. And i woould like to say i've had no problems with orange from start to finish all members of staff have been very helpful and honest with me. So it's not all horror story's i regularly go over my inclusive minutes and so was told that this change would affect me drastically.0

I finally got them to agree to my disconnection at 10pm monday night, was disconnected tuesday, and i have taken out a new sim only contract with Orange that allows me to cancel at 30days notice. Wasn't interested in a new phone, like the one i have, Orange as a network is ok, but losing 19 months of contract and having the ability to cancel at 30 days notice in this economic climate is a blessing.0

Well, I was one of the last past the line, cancelled Tuesday morning, the girl gave me a pac code instantly via text and today I had a letter confirming the code with the usual " We're sorry you're leaving orange....."
Now, can I port my number to an orange PAYG sim?
Will probably wait for the new SE X3 to come out........0 -

You can port to another network PAYG but not Orange network.0
