While most people are saying post count/thanks are not important :money:is obviously saying different because if they were not important then there would be no issue with only counting them from certain threads.
I do think this is a clear message that posts in MSA, DT and House threads are less valued by the the board's management.
Bickering in these threads does exist and does generate work, but most are sorted out on the thread. The people who get upset if they are losing the argument and report a post/poster will still do so regardless of thanks/post count. In fact they might even think they have more chance of getting a regular banned if they show an artificially lower post count, so it could in fact generate even more work. Trouble makers and bad losers exist and manipulating post counts will not address this problem.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

I can't decide if this post is aimed at Magyar, or Martin.Granted, it took me a while to understand it. I'm thinking Magyar?

Can you give examples of that?
Yes I can
Cymro came back as an AE and posted for many months. No problems. No fuss. No bother.
As soon as they revealed themselves (not in a nasty way), for who they were they were barred from MSE quicker than a Big Mac from a PETA conference.

I was thinking about Cymro the other day, lovely lad, though he went on a bit of a bender towards the end of Cymro, mind, him and MrSkint just used to rub each other up the wrong way.

lots to say in few words as poss. just found & read thread. Great Idea Martin 99.9% agree. BUT.- On joining 2007 I noticed curt people - and was scared to make a mistake then, so this is not new, Took ages to post first comp, a dupe of course, got told, politely but curtly and spent ages deliberating before posting again.
Agreed - it's nothing new. Back in 2004 when I joined these forums were relevent, blunt and racey. And that's what I liked about them and still do. It took me three months to make my first registered post (back then you could post as a guest) and I was scared stiff. It's what these forums are and it makes them unique."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."

I must admit I lost patience with both towards the end when their bickering was getting tedious, But hey ho, those were the days in many other respects.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0 -

It was the AE that had the Homer Simpson head with the brain in it......can't remember the AE involved but I was really sad when they were PPR'd. It just seemed so mindlessly autocratic at the time.
Memories!......;)"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
