Theres another thread on here somewhere with net curtain alternative - reflects like a mirror instead of being able to see through. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.

But you were happy about the bus stop being opposite your neighbour and a bunch of people standing and looking in their window?
Not really, but I can't complain on my neighbour's behalf. That's for him to do.
As it happens, he has a shop front onto the street, not his lounge, he has a flat above his shop. He is probably quite happy about the bus stop.0 -
That was my first thought NIMBY
I guess living on a main road, there is always a possibilty of having a bus shelter outside someones house
As my post above.
Gosh, some people love to be argumentative rather than helpful don't they!
Also all the other houses along the street (after the shop next door) have very long front gardens and are set way back from the main road.
I am no NIMBY, .....thanks for assuming though!0 -

Yes, it's possible, and I am hoping that's the case, and that they will not be cagey about moving it now it's done, and that it will not take months if they do do it.
Rather a lot of hopes? :rolleyes:0 -

No, as I said, the bus stop is not opposite my house, people used to stand where the bus stop is, (a good 10 feet further away) and not directly accross from my window.0 -
if they turn the shelter around, wwont the people be sat looking into the house across the road, only now just a few feet away from their window?
If the council decide not to move the stop, could you invest in some one way window film for your window so all they will see is their reflection. Its not too expensive. Here is a site http://www.shop4windowfilms.co.uk/oneway.php
Hi Trevormax,
There are no houses on the other side of the road, just trees and a wall. Why assume the worst?
Your advice about the window film is helpful though, thanks for that.0
