I really really really want to get myself/get OH to buy me a xmas present (about £20 budget) but i just cannot think of what I want! It's driving me mad! I have so far bought myself the latest Terry Pratchett book and a pair of gloves. I'd like something else but I can't think of anything I want. Clothes are out of the question as I'm not due until the end of January and it'll be a few months (hem hem) before I'm back to a size 10/12 so that would just depress me. I have a hard time buying shoes as I'm a large foot size 8 and cannot be bothered with the stress of shoe shops when I can barely reach my feet!
I don't wear perfume. I am not into handags, purses...
I don't collect anything.
In fact, I am awful, how does anyone ever buy me anything?!
AARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!
I know how you feel hun, I'm the same,
I got size 8 feet too and hate shoe shopping even when I can reach my feet lol.... OH always says here get what you want  and i say i want suprises cos I don't know what I want.
The only thing I know i def want this year is the 2 new alex cross novels by james patterson:D:D:D:D

Hello All
Thought I'd stop in and see how everyone is doing - haven't been on here for a while - plenty of overtime to keep me busy lately which has been nice but lot a lot of exciting stuff going on here I'm afraid so Christmas preparations have fallen behind some what.
I have no christmas cards made or written
still got gifts to buy - granted not many but still!
and no decorations brought etc (theme will be gold, cream, bronze and brown)
and still making plans for bens festive friend! oh dear - 2 days till he arrives (should add I have him but no other ideas!)
Also jsut ordered some new sofas from DFS which should be here before Xmas which is nice - they are mine and boyfriends presents to each other as we couldnt think what to buy and boyfriend was rejected for credit btu I was accepted so wil have those by then hopefully which means my christmas tree can go between the two sofas :j:j:j:j:j
Also hoping to redecorate to a degree before Xmas - just magnolia so not too expensive or fancy but clean/fresh.
Of my gift buying I still have 8 things to get for Benji
2 for Owen

sammy -nice idea you and BF buying the 2 sofas as christmas present...........we normally do something like that -this year our old pine dresser we bought in March has been birthday and christmas presents for each of us
Well, thought I'd done every single bit of shopping but checked last night and still need to pick up Beatles mug from music shop in town for my son...........it'll fill a gap in his shoe box.
Had rotten night last night coughing and sneezing:eek: -kept OH awake half the night I think..............didn't get up till 10.30am.............every intention yesterday of going into town to get this mug but didn't feel well enough to go and completely forgot to ask OH
Was popping into little shop to look for track suit bottoms and pj's for OH so when he has to go to hospital he's at least got something to wear................hope I feel better than this on Monday then I can get all these odds and ends done.
Oh well..........least I did a bit more sewing of my 'primitive' hearts so not totally wasted dayI would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Next Sat were off to an Xmas Fayre, - bit naughty being held at a National Trust property, so you have to pay the entrance fee to get in, but very mse, remember that I has some walkers crisps points left, so got a family ticket worth £20 for free, (15points).

ok he know best) so I did what he said and lost everything on the pc, windows and everything, nothing loading up just blank screen:mad: so he arranged for it to go back to be fixed.
On monday I got a call from dell (even more to tjhis annoying bit but wont bore everyone, so give you the short version) saying I would have to pay for the repair (never told me how much mind) as the laptop had been dropped as it has a scrap on the side (it scraped along the pavement in OH bag when he went away about 6 months ago) So I said no that has nowt to do with it, your gy wiped hard drive etc etc they argued the whatsits about it, and in the end after a few phone calls they left a message for me saying as a goodwill gesture they would repair the laptop (still have the message) this time and return laptop fixed, well when it come back PC world who fix em for dell wrote on advice slip, RETURNED WITHOUT REPAIR ON ADIVE FROM DELL
I am so annoyed with them and there customer service is appaling really for such a large company very dissapointed with them really.
Anyway my cousion has fortunately managed to reloads vista and that back on for me so the Lappy is working :j and he has offered to fix it again if anything goes wrong again:D
Hope you get your laptop sorted, and your memory card, have you tried loading it on the PC they sometimes have a load of files already installed that you may be able to delete???
Oooo the cheeky beggers!!! Good job your cousin has managed to get it working!!
Yeah, I tried the memory card on two different PCs/Laptops and re-formatted it, and nothing! Stay clear of Argos Bargain Clearance people!!
Christmas pressies pretty much sorted here! Yeay! Just need to finish a few more cross stitch cards, and do all the card writing (and pressie wrapping, tree up, etc). Got everything for pots of gold for table pressies except the scratch cards, and need to put together my snowman poop! (Using Cadbury's Snowballs sweets!) Other than that, it's done!! Woooo! Just need baby to come now! lol

Can I just say I love this thread. Thanks to you lovely ladies I have made pots of gold for some special people and I am thrilled. I say pots of gold but it should be bags. Money is tight and couldn't find any cheap pots. I wanted a trip to Ikea but as I need some furniture for my craft room they could have turned out to be very expensive pots if you know what I mean lol.
Luckily I am downsizing the Christmas decorations this year as over the years we have had many different colour schemes on the table for Christmas Day but from now on am sticking to one colour so the gold bags I have had for table presents previously turned out to be just he right amount I needed (6) mine will be in a paper bag but who cares lol.
Also thanks to this thread I have started crafting and card making (this thread pointed me to the card making one) and I have just spent a lovely day making things
So big hugs and thanks to you all. Kate :hello:0 -
I picked up my Secret Santa Pressie today from Argos and I have put it upstairs to wrap. I did have a little peek and it is lovely and just what I need - a little hug and kiss to remind me I am worth it!
Have been menu planning from the freezer today to clear out for the meat delivery in a couple of weeks time.
The woodland dedication forms arrived from the woodland trust bought with Mr T vouchers in memory of my nature loving dad for us to celebrate at Christmas time in his memory.
What else? The table I sold on ebay was collected today and another £45 into the coffers. I am thinking of using this to pay for my Christmas work night out in a couple of weeks time.
Have some clothing items finishing tomorrow on ebay - fingers crossed!
Aside from that not much else to report. Better get on with the card making tomorrow!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

That sounds fab, well done with the xmas shopping, its always the wrapping thats the worse.
Day out to Ice-cream farm didn't happen, i had the sniffles, dd was still in bed, she got this thing now as well as the X-Factor, she loves I'm a Celeb get me out of her...... so Fri/Sat ngts she watches it....... great as I love it, my mother hates it..... so she has to watch it!:D
Been organised today-
Started off as my tankini top kept cuming undone - poor thing she had to keep asking her swimming instructor to do it up.
That ended up with 4 bikinis/tankinis/swimsuits in ebay bag - down to 2 now - shes been told no more growth spurts.
then
mum my school skirts tight - here we go, no prob, you've got 2 in next size, and some trs, put u in ur trs early (only brought the trs Aug), what a surprise nothing fits..
Mass rush to Asda, no go, then to Tesco.... got her 4 skirts, all Tesco brands, (slightly different styles), she had to have 3 different age groups, but they fit, trs I gave up on, told her its thick tights....
That turned into new Red Mac (gorgeous and reduced from £12 to £6), a new winters coat, Black woolen coat, makes her to grown up, (£22 to £15).
While in Tesco - got some xmas goodies, dd was happy as there was a pack of Decorate your own Gingerbread men.
Then to Iceland, for the Christmas shopping, - cheated slightly gone for the ready done turkey breast, cook from frozen, no hassle......
That was an xmas shop...... couldn't be bothered to put it away, so took advantage of the home delievery thats coming fri afternoon.
Tomorrow - finsh the cards, and try to get some more hol stuff from the car..... its xmas stuff.....
