sarah - sorry to hear your computer probs...........know the feeling of anger/frustration etc. -I used to threaten my old one with a small lump hammer...............maybe thats why it packed up altogether...............lol New ones an Acer..............oh eck.........hope I don't get probs with it.............tis brand new so I ought not to (she says touching wood with crossed fingers:rolleyes:)

cdsmiler - I'm not always on the go, honest.........two speeds really -slow and stop............normally its the slow...........takes me an age to do what others do in ten minutes....................lol
But this morning I've wrapped another three parcels ready for posting, mislaid a few bits in spare room cos couldn't remember where I'd put them..............lol Found them in the end but that seemed to take ages.......sent santa letter off to little grandson with 'good deed' chart for December........well its ready for posting...........and thats about it. It's now 'sitting down' time......................lol

Oh bum. lol We fast forward the ad breaks coz we watch it a bit later with Sky +!! Oh well, that'll learn us. ;)

Well, new laptop seems to be playing ball at the moment. I'll extend it's time to a few more days and see if I get any other problems. Fingers crossed!

 Oooops ! Had a bit of a lapse and went over my budget ! Teenage grandson loves Michael McIntyre (last christmas it was just me and him laughing) so I just had to order the new dvd...............then needed something for his twin sister...........not a clue what she likes in the way of music/films etc, but she is a bit of a 'fashion queen' and I ordered one of those Pashminas from the grabbit board................it's purple (her favourite colour) brand new (they normally just get odds and sods from charity shops -unwanted gifts or something I've concocted............do you reckon this Pashmina will make up for her brother having a dvd ?
I think it will, I hope it will anyway

Off to find a soft seat and change my glasses back to my old ones for a bit to watch tele. These new ones are ok but they're different frames and hurt my nose and behind my ears...............can't afford any more frames..........oh lor........they felt ever so comfy when I chose them............. Think those little cushion bits need re-adjusting or something. Must get them sorted.
    Right.................tele time:j

mum2one, sorry you didn't enjoy the ice skating that much. we went to see them doing sleeping beauty on ice and me and ds's absolutely loved it! oh well, i guess it's horses for courses.

i think my ds2 must have been involved in the same poetry thing as your dd, only at his nursery they weren't calling it a competition, just were submitting a load. anyway, his is going to be in, and i think we will be shelling out for one - will actually end up with 3 cos the grandparents want one so might as well getting the 3 for 2.

anyway, am rambling now. have just arranged with my sis to have the boys for a few hours next sat, so should be able to get their pressies all bought, and the rest I will be either getting off the internet or making. this year has really been good learning for me - am much more organised, but think i have gone over budget - have not really kept an eye on it really. But it has been so useful, I feel like I will be able to do a better job next year - thanks everyone!

I cursed myself. After posting about my laptop playing ball, it then decided to shut down (well, technically just turn off, not even shut down properly) once, and restart twice!! So it's going back, I've had enough!! <grumble grumble>

Only a week and a half left in work then I'm on maternity which means CHRISTMASSY STUFF!!! So far my plans for the first week and a bit of maternity leave look like this:
    Thursday - relax!
Friday - Tidy house as parents and brother coming up for a visit on Saturday!
Monday - at parents decorating their christmas cake and making mince pies!
Tuesday (1st December!) - put decs/tree up at home!
Wednesday onwards - write cards and wrap pressies!!

    Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! lol Can't wait.

    Hope everyone's doing well!

  • Hello all.

We sorted out our loft over the weekend. All the bits we were going to car boot next year (mostly toys and books) we have donated to the local local woman's refuge instead. That is 8 boxes we have sent to them now  My kids have far to many toys.

I am going to finish a few hampers this week (Our Xmas eve, My mums, My ex - MIL, My ex and his girlfriends movie hamper). I also have DH's footie hamper to finish too :o

I EBayed a lot of stuff which finished over the weekend so my Christmas fund got a lovely boost :T Still have more to EBay tho. :T

I am sooooo looking forward now to 1st Dec when Otis our Christmas ELf will come to stay. Also looking forward to the first weekend on Dec when all our decs and tree will go up :xmastree::dance:

I also have seen the Coke advert a couple of times and i love it. :smileyhea
