Oh Mary I really hope everything is going to be ok and you shouldnt feel bad about doing christmas stuff you need something to take your mind off everything, plus DH wouldnt want you sat around threating. Im think off you both xXx
I feel absolutly awful full of a cold, sinuses all blocked and throat red raw, fell down the stairs this mornin aswell and really hurt my tail bone and ankle. Luckily I landed on my bum which is why my tail bone is sore, you'd think the size of it would of cusioned me abit more:rotfl:. Anyway got all my christmas pressies bought now. Ordered the last of my dads today from amazon so wants they've arrived Im all set. Still havent done any wrapping I always do that nearer xmas cos its one of my favourite things to do
Oh Shevs r u ok, sorry hope u get some rest, hope u fell better with the cold as well, its the festive season......
Mary, hope everything is going on ok with OH, glad he had a better night, may sound daft but sometimes u need to do something to take ur mind off worrying.
Know when mum was in hosp, a few yrs ago, it was Halloween and dd was 3, had to keep doing something my mind from worrying, remember doing xmas cards.
U take care, here if u need anything xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

Hi tq16
Don't worry, you haven't got confused, as and when santas send their numbers to me I then send them onto the person who they have choosen for, if anyone hasn't had their numbers yet dont worry, as I asked could everyone send me their numbers by 23/24th Nov.
Just that as I arranged it, know whos choosing for me and as going via Argos sent his lordship in.
Can't believe were getting nearer and nearer to xmas
xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mary OP - thinking of you and OH, haven't been on for ages again, either the kids are on the computer, at work, or computer playing up (also have taking a liking to facebook's farmville game -
)
Anyway, I try to keep up with posts, most of the time I don't, but thanks to everyone for their lovely posts, I hope to get caught up soon, miss my daily dose, but some days am so tired that the mamoth task of scrolling through all the missed pages, seems too big.
Not feeling very organised either, but have made about £180 this month from- £1o Argos voucher from Valued Opinions,
- £45 from Quidco,
- around £20 from Amazon Market Place,
- £6 from Play.com Seller Account
- and the rest (£100ish) from the toy clearout I did in Oct Holidays and listed on Ebay. I am very pleased about that, made getting some items a great deal easier.
Bought a 2nd hand Build a Bear off of Ebay, and an Elf Suit, for my christmas visitor, my boys are constantly fighting (7, 6 and 4) just now so the letter that comes with my elf will say that this must stop and team work must begin before xmas eve in order to get their delivery from the big man. (Evil:A, I don't think so, my OH does, and he also thinks that eldest DS won't believe it, he thinks he suspicious enough already, I don't think so).
Made my Sparkledust - Sammykaye you messaged me last year to say that glitter may be harmful to small animals and to use food colouring and sugar and must say that it looks great, I used green and red colouring and I am very pleased with the results. I cello coned them up for all my nieces and nephews and the look really impressive, my niece told me last year that xmas isn't xmas without their Auntie's sparkle dust.
Finally got xmas lunch arranged and we are having 17  (5 of mine, father in law, DH's great aunt and uncle, 2 SILs, 2 BILs and 4 neices). We have a big family room, but other than that our house isn't big enough for us, but we are not in a position to move house yet) but hey xmas is about family and we will make it work, and my father in law is making broth and trifle, and my youngest SIL is making prawn cocktail and my sister in law will makes xmas icecream and will help sorting the veg, we'll just have to move the kids into the dining area, and take over the family room after 11am to get ready and set the table, it will be fabulous and after the initial panic am positive I will be extremely happy that I did it on Boxing Day :rotfl:
Hope everyone is keeping well, sorry about the mamoth sized post, but its been a while since my last post.
xxx :santa2:0 -
Hello all - OH had bit better night last night -coughing up blood seems to have stopped. But now it seems like he's got a cold -sore throat, thick head, etc.........and so have I..................
Hospital phoned which was bit worrying - his biopsy from last week came up clear -relief I thought ! Then lady from lung clinic said he had to go for another one......different sort -CT Control (don't really understand it) as they seem to think it shouldn't have come back clear.......... Should get appt. this week or next......hopefully we'll be able to see someone then who can at least tell us something. It's the not knowing thats driving us batty. If he's got something awful it'll mean him going to specialist unit in Nottingham..............
But mustn't cross bridges before they're built.
So-forgive me if I'm not very festive.............only thing I've done today is re-wrap grandaughters birthday stuff (found birthday wrapping paper I bought ages ago) so it was off with the christmas snowflakey paper and on with the funky pink and purple flowers..............lol
Looked at a few things that need final wrapping and couldn't be bothered anymore.
Don't you dare feel sorry for not being Christmassy!! I've never known someone to be making so much for christmas!! You've done enough Christmassy stuff for 10 people! You concentrate on you and your OH. Keep yourself busy, but don't apologise for lack of enthusiasm!! We're all thinking of you!I feel absolutly awful full of a cold, sinuses all blocked and throat red raw, fell down the stairs this mornin aswell and really hurt my tail bone and ankle. Oh Shevs, take it easy!! But isn't it typical it all happens at once? A week after my [STRIKE]husband ran me over[/STRIKE] car accident, I had the most stinking cold! Fortunately I only had the worse for just over two days (still got a bit of a sniffle and a cough now though) but having a cold AND another injury/pain of some sort is NOT fun is it?!
kalojac - wow, 17 for Christmas dinner? You're brave!! Good for you!!

Hi all,
Mary I think you are doing so well, you seem like a very strong person. I think keeping yourself busy sounds like a great idea, you definitely need some distraction especially while you are waiting to find out what's going on. Try not to overdo it, sounds like you get a lot of disturbed nights so you need to make sure you're recharging your batteries too. Thinking of you.
Shevs hope you are feeling better, that sounds rotten! Fedupandskint think you're doing great, keep positive.
Sorry am going to go completely off topic now, but I hope you lovely folk won't mind. I wonder if I could ask some of you a favour. I know some of you have lovely blogs and possibly maybe sell stuff through them. Would anyone mind PM'ing me to tell me a bit about how to set one up? My OH has an album coming out, and he's on myspace and has a very old website of his own, and will be doing lots of publicity and trying to get into various retailers, but I thought a blog could be a good way of letting people know what he's up to and having a way for people to buy the CD direct from him off the internet. Sorry for totally unChristmassy request (although it could do as a nice present for someone - if it's ready in time!!). Thank you.
Christmassy wise I have a festive weekend coming up will get a lot of lists done and things ticked off I hope, so getting there. Will let you know how I get on next week. I dream of being a wonderfully efficient Christmas machine next year....:rolleyes:0 -
Hello all
Still not got my hampers done  I dont seem to have time at the mo. Yesterday i was putting together my dd's bunk beds and doing a batch of homemade Lasagnes and Shepherds pies to freeze.
This morning i thought i would get my hampers finished but Olivia my 18 month old is really clingy and keeps doing this spasm/ fit thing she does which is under investigation with the hospital at the mo so i am sitting with her doing this on my lap for last hour and half. I dont know what else to do other then comfort her  Wish i knew why she does it or what it is.
SHEVS ~ Hope your feeling better and your bum has recovered from your tumble
MARY ~ I feel for you. It is awful not knowing and the waiting is worse. Thinking of you XX
MUM2ONE ~ Thank you for my magic numbers too. I have given them to my DH to chose one and buy and wrap. I havent cheated as i like surprises.
