Okay, it is now officially Christmas - I've just seen the Coca-Cola Christmas advert! Even though I can't stand coke, the advert always marks the proper beginning of Christmas for me, it's like my unofficial calendarMaking money for Christmas 2012!0

The school budget is there for things like books - it's a pretty basic purchase.... PTFA money should be buying the 'little extras' not reading books, library books, teaching resources and the like.
My sentiments exactly, I've joined the PTA to see what they have to contribute to (not the fact that I really want to be there, but its a foot in the door.... it was the 1st meeting I went to last time (got voluntered for the collection of prizes for school draw), figured it was one foot in the doorway.
Its a weird set up, previously you had the old headmaster with 1 secetary, you now have new headmaster, deputy head, (business manager and 3 members of staff, doing the job of the old secetary).
The head of the goveners, was at the PTA and said its the budgets..... Hense one foot in the door.......xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
My tropical christmas cakes are made, I did a double batch of mixture, its lush....
Thou did have fun, blew up the foodprocessor, and had smoke coming from all parts of it......
DD loved it esp all the fruit, did a wack of shopping for it when we were in Exmouth, they had one of those weigh and save shops.
Mango, Pineapple, Papaya, cranberries, included.
Going to try the tradational recipie as well, really in the xmasy mood.
DD tonight, took her, mum + dad to see Snow White on Ice - Russian Ballet stars, we were sat rinkside, literally on carpet on the ice rink, the stars were about 5 ft away.
Dad managed to keep his eyes open..... whether that was the cold or the costumes!!
DD - I'm starving, I'm bored, when are they going to speak, what idiot dresses up like 2 chickens,,,,,, that man looks like fluffball (bloke dressed in costume, black feathers everywhere.
At the interval, she got up ready to go.......
Think my ice skating will be limited to Dancing on Ice!! xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Hi all
sorry been Awol, but laptops have gone up the wall, mine is going back to dell on monday as it has a problem with the HD and after spending 45min on the phone to tech guy he has completely wiped the hd so can't even log on  and DS is not loading so thats going back to the shop next week too, had to borrow mums of her yesterday so at least can get back online and catch up. Spent most of yesterday afternoon cathing up on the survesys and other 100 plus emails i had in my in box while oh watched the football.
hugs to everyone who needs them and wants one. Im so jealous as i haven't seen the coke advert yet.
Hope everyone has a nice sunday

purple, I can't believe your DD is getting up for the day at 1.24am:eek: Or is that some kind of fault wiht the forum logging time??? Is she very little?
We're in the Middle East so it was actually 4:24am, not that that makes it remotely better LOL. She's 3 and doesn't think that sleep is compulsory
Had a very busy weekend and now have both children at home as they're poorly  I really feel that I'm never going to get myself sorted out. There's still a huge question mark over where we're eating Christmas lunch. I need to actually get to the shops to find something other than the 'big' present for DD. But I need snag some panto tickets this week :T and stockings are just about done for the children except choccies/sweeties.
Everyone else is doing an amazing job, so impressed :jCC1 £5999 Total Debt March 2021 £5999

Welcome back mum2one! Will send you my secret santa codes this week - just want one more check through. Congratulations to your daughter!
Lovely hamper rufus dog! Will have to show mine when I've wrapped them!
jamtart - good luck with the exam!!
mary-op - you are NON STOP!! lol Take it easy and have a break!
sarah - I've had laptop issues recently too, but with ACER rather than Dell! Hubby bought a Dell and has had no problems what so every. I bought a refurbished ACER and I've already had a replacement which seems to be doing similar things already to the one I sent back (restarting itself for no reason.). Oh well, I've learnt my lesson. Giving it one last chance this afternoon, then contacting company bought it from to get refund. Good job I have an old laptop from my Dad that works perfectly fine for internet in the meantime (an old Dell funnily enough.). Hope you get yours sorted!
LOADS of people saw the coca cola advert yesterday - when was it shown?? So jealous.
