The braclet available seperatly at think its £19.99, a set of the 4 beads are £12.99, they had different colour ways, deep pink, red.

The spacers - their was different designs - think they were£10.00 for 2.

(compared seperately - the made up bracelets great value).

I got a cheapie one, (costume jewellery), paid £25 for that, so thats now gone as an xmas prezzie, (only wore for 1hr), the ones in Argos are really gd value.

The jewellers where my friend had hers from (it was a 40th bday present off her mum, the gold beads £40 to £50 each), even the silver beads are £20+each.

Make an excellent xmas prezzie xx

The lady at our Argos store said their new in, not in the catalogue hense the intro price.

Thank you so much, my friend also has the expensive 1, and I have had my eye on these in argos cat, have just ordered one for myself!!! and 1 for my sister. So excited being delivered on thursday :-) everyone always says how difficult i am to buy for, so thould make things easier :-)

  • looking forward to tomorrow im going shopping, will let you know if i find any bargains. Asda had some nice girls pjs for £3 for my DD Christmas eve hamper and got 2 new Jacqueline Wilson books off ebay for £4 delivered.
  • I've had a great evening reading through loads of the posts on here, there are some brilliant ideas. I managed to save quite a few hundred for Christmas this year and now we are going to have to pay for the car to be serviced and it's going to put a huge dent in the Christmas money so I'm gutted. I don't know what I will have to spend on my two now, but I know my dd would like a Guitar Hero game for the Wii (not that she will expect it, but it would have been nice to get it for her). Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for stocking fillers for an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy? I'm pretty handy so I've no problems with making stuff.

Last year this site was really inspirational and I made some hampers for my mum and sister which went down really well and also did them for the kids for Christmas Eve which they loved (made them sock monkeys for them too, which was another idea from here).

Sorry this was such a long post!

    Hi Susan
Sorry about the car, they have a massive habit of doing that!
Stocking fillers - my dd 6 going on 18!!, but from reading other posters etc, I'd go for make up, nice set of make-up brushes, posh toilettries, (doesn't have to be expensive one, Boots usually do the mini sizes), hair accessories, purse, (hope that helps)

Ds- is there any dvd series he likes, has he got a ds/wii/ etc, I always go through Argos - clearance section, you can choose your local store and it gives you a list of whats available.
    Maybe hair gel products?

Hopefully someone with more children can help!

Dont know if there any good for DS, there entry level prices, DD had a bratz one that broke, so a surprise were geeting the ALBA (2nd pic) off Father Christmas for her.
Thou think I'll be getting it next week ready, like the reduced price!! x

Thanks hun, Christopher has already got a little one like this, we also got it from Argos, I would suggest you get the Insurance on which ever you pick, it's only £12.99 but if it breaks you will get another one, Christopher's has broke a few times now and they have replaced it each time no quibbles, well worth the money, saves having upset kids too. He wants a more expensive one this year:eek: as he is really getting into his filming so going to try get him one round the £100 - £150 mark that has a few more feature on it and a longer battery life you know what men are like with their gadgets.

Hi I have an 11 year old girl and an 8 year old boy too! My DD is always easy as she is happy to get lots of little things ie impulse spray, some nail varnish, pens, socks, note pads etc etc my son is harder but he is into football so I try and get things like goalie gloves, a stopwatch, a footie sticker book, small games (this was last year!) They both get some clothes for Christmas and always some socks which can be a stocking filler! I have bought fake snow before, toiletries (usually themed) even toothbrushes in the past!! Depends what I see/what they see/what is needed and what is 'in fashion' at the time!!

Not sure if that will help but happy to find my list and let you know what's on it if it helps or PM me!

Of course but only if the reviews are useful, and may I review yours as well, again only if there useful!!

I go by mum2onlyone, so thick I am I went to register under mum2one, the name had gone, so thought some chelly bu**er got their first, only to realise a few days later that I had already registered under mum2one, but just carried on with mum2onlyone, so exicted should be able to get my 1st voucher soon,
I've gone through some of dd ds games, then I found general, where people babble about anything, quite a few on christmas, so done a few there, shocked someone by saying I dont have gravy, but have pickled onions and brown sauce with my xmas dinner!
Do you go by same name, or which name u use, can add you to my circle of friends xx

I'll have a little look for you! I go by the same name but with 81 stuck on the end! And my picture is of a disgruntled dog....not my dog unfortunatley as it's very cute! lol x

  • Thanks so much for your suggestions mum2one. DD is getting interested in makeup and so on now, she has some makeup but I might get her a couple of those bright hair colours. Like your idea about the mini toiletries too. DD not into football - massively into Lego!! but I will definitely get some hair gel - great idea, thanks.:T

  • Hi furrypig,

That was a happy coincidence! thanks for your ideas, I think my girl would like those things too - dd not into football, but is starting to get fussy about his shower gel and stuff (makes me laugh, he spends ages choosing it, sniffing every bottle!), so that is a good idea. I've seen them looking at the fake snow stuff several times but never tried it, so might this time. I will stick some biggish bags of sweeties in their stockings too, so that will fill them up a bit. It's a shame I did sock monkeys last year, will have to think of something else - wasn't there a thread with sock owls, or did I imagine that lol?

    Thank you,

    Susan :D:D

Just a thought, id anyone has a Nettto near them, they had mini toileries for 18p,
    Ladies - Impulse pocket spray
Gents - mini lynx showergel - the blue variety
Gents - 2 x sets of different lynx sprays

I got 24 of the gents, for a bit of fun doing dad a home made advent calender with the 24 toilettries in - goint to be let lose on a sewing machine - that will be a miracle in itself.

Thought they be great little stocking fillers, and if they dont like the fragrance - you haven't wasted a fortune.

Another thought re Make-Up, I buy DD the Boots natural range, its £1.99 per item or 3 for £5.00, I use it myself as well, great selection of colours in all the ranges. - Loyalty points as well - Boots is 4p in the £1, unless you fall on a special offer weekend. xx

cdsmiller - massive thank you, found you, added u into the inner circle, and will do the deed - aim reviewing 1 person a ngt then I know where I am.

Think I need a coffee - opps thats Sarah - I need a cup of tea xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
