co.uk and org.uk don't need a privacy hiding service as they have "built-in" privacy protection called "OPT-OUT WHOIS" (for individuals only). Many (if not all) companies offer this for free. If it's not in the account control panel you can request it by contacting the support department.
This removes addresses but not the domain owner's name.

I've also been looking at Godaddy for .com privacy as they do seem to be one of the cheapest.0 -
Hi all

I'm pretty sure they can be sold on without problem.
Out of interest who did you register your domains with?0 -
1&1 sent me an email a few moments ago saying the domain I requested is not available. Bearing in mind I ordered it Friday morning.
Just shows how slow they are. I purchased the domain in question over the phone with netserve.0 -
Hi Charlie
I registered my .eu domaines with https://www.freeparking.co.uk in September on there pre sunrise register. Im not sure what the position is now with registering .eu domaines but we where after Turkey, rental, holiday, villa or place names in Turkey near our holiday home so we registered some crackers on the day we recieved a email from freeparking. Most of the good ones will have gone im sure but good luck with it and thanks for your reply.
Ps has anyone anymore info on resales or transfering .eu domaines.

Erm, I think they seem pretty fine. Domain names aren't really a problem.. it's hosting that's important.0 -

I think if you ordered from a smaller company they would send requests faster and you could have a higher chance to get your domain.
I'm in the same boat with you, placed requests with 1and1 few weeks ago, and whois.eu does not even list my company as per submited requestHave you got something to share - Do it.

Thankfully I got the domain that was important to me - despite using 1&1.0
